F1 Chequered Flag (which was included in Bundle In A Box 5) just got removed from steam.

Who could have predicted that?

Now that I've got my little victory lap out of the way, I must admit that it's probably only temporary. I've heard from somebody who actually bothered to play the game that apparently the only trademark infringing thing included in the game is in the title. There's no recognizable cars or people or logos or anything. So unless the dev is just a complete idiot (a definite possibility, I will grant you) all he needs to do is change the name. So it'll probably just show up again in a day or two with "F1" removed from the title.

Still, for the time being I'm declaring victory and basking in the glow of that +1 to my removed game count.

You're easy to please. Maybe I'll create a shitty game, put it on steam, and then remove it from steam immediately after. I'll give you a free key for it of course, for your birthday.. MysterD style.

Apparently the dev behind Gearcrack Arena did just that very thing (sans the part about giving me a key for my birthday). He released the game with the plan to remove it on the game's first anniversary on steam. No real reason why. He did it just because. Only he took it a step further and invalidated all the unredeemed keys.

That should probably be responded to with a lawsuit.

He really has no right to invalidate unused keys. Nor should Steam allow him to do so.

Well their first mistake was letting all that scheisse on in the first place but they were being lazy fucks and couldn't deal with having an actual selection process or standards anymore.

But on the bright side, that enabled Poopees to shat out many more toxically low quality bundles!

Really Valve DGAF. At least until and unless something catches wind in the gaming press or explodes on Reddit (and not the stupid European game deals one) and embarrasses them.

He didn't invalidate the keys. But the way he pulled the game changed a flag that makes it impossible to activate keys and he doesn't know/care enough to fix it. Also, this was over a month ago.

Potato, potato. People still have legitimately-acquired keys that cannot be used. It seems like Steam needs to be contacted to fix this, though.

I kinda want the Big Fishy witch game and the Dragon Solitaire, which I suppose is Big Fishy as well.

I could give a crap about the others. I didn't pre-order and not in love with the idea of waiting and hoping for Steam keys given some of the shenanigans around that lately.

I dunno, maybe I'll just get those two or maybe I'll wait for them to be in another Poopees or Gala and then end up on Tremor post Steam release. I should probably do that actually.

too much drama lately with shifty developers opting out of honoring keys purchased on bundles such as groupees when their game actually gets onto Steam.

I like when Poopees does non game crap lately actually. Then I don't have to fuss over if there a slim chance there's something in their 16 bundles of dog shit that I actually might want.

Omg, that is such a great repeat, limited, pre-order bundle. Gonna buy it now before I have to pay a subscription and maintenance fee to keep my account on their servers.

 
I've seen people suggest that Surgeon Simulator could be in this bundle, based on the tools, but the tooth (and eye) surgeries were part of the DLC. I guess they could have just the DLC or the game and DLC in this bundle, but personally I hope not.

I hope that game dies a quiet yet agonizing death in the corner over there, but at the end of the day, it doesn't really matter whether it's in this bundle or not, as anyone who thinks it's not going to be a steaming pile of crap is kidding himself.
 
People seem to buying the Eye for an Eye bundle for Treasures of Arcania.. but I don't understand it. Looks like an extremely slow paced rpg/platformer hybrid. Maybe the crafting system is good but the videos make it look like shit. Am I missing something?

This bundle seems to be selling pretty well. I was thinking I might use my Groupees coin on it if it turned out to be decent, but now it seems like it could possibly sell out before it goes live.
