The 'Donate to charity' box seems redundant since every Groupees purchase is essentially a donation to the "Help fund Yanni's next vacation to Bora Bora" charity.

Tell me when there's a donation to help fund Yanni and Shitty's next vacation to Alcatraz. I'll be the top donor!

Can we talk about whatever the hell that bio is that Jonny wrote about himself to the right of what you circled?
Here we go:

He comes from the future on a mission to save the World from itself, deluded by visions of cyborgs this futuristic Don Quixote, his lance, a Thermal Nuclear Magnum 357,000, his Dulcinea, an ample-breasted Barista at Big Bucks, takes up arms against the numbing influences of modern life and in particular pop culture’s embrace of the violent hero archetype, a bumbling, bungling knight errant, 8 feet, 375 pounds of cybergenetic poultry, the perfect killing machine, who through his mayhem-laced adventures from Brooklyn to Bombay, and points in between, reveals the fundamental quality of a true hero, a deep and abiding humanity, his name, Cyber-Chicken, or to his friends at Big Bucks in Brooklyn, Jonny Cappuccino….

Good thing I only had some of those awesome negative value coins. Opting to pay more for any of these awful bundles is such a good joke.

new music bundle pre-order is up

https://groupees.com/rfmb6

Yes, this is for royalty free music.

9 selections

Each artist has outlined the specifics of the royalty free usage license - but all tracks here are available to buyers for personal and commercial use

The background is from Lucky Robot Vol. 2 - Electronic Misfits by Chill Carrier.

$1.50 minimum

I don't usually go into royalty free stuff, but the background album is beepboop and I'm future-proofing in case I ever make a game with licensed music tracks that I'll have to replace after a few years.

Hope you all enjoy it.

This was an addition to the Tax Year Bundle.

I have four NightStop albums from prior bundles.  Their bandcamp page lists those four albums and one other, the Time Recoil OST.  The other four selections aren't really albums.  More like singles.  A total of seven tracks.  Not enough there to be worth a preorder for me.

I also agree, the 80's dark/horror synth music is good. Weird how there's a supply and demand for what was just background noise in slasher flicks 30 years ago, mostly by people who weren't even born when said movies were released.

Not just the dark stuff. The sort of stuff that was background noise in all sorts of 80s movies and shows is in demand. I don't really think that 80s nostalgia is behind it, either, at least not primarily.

Actually the 2010s seems to be pretty big on stuff from the 80s in general, sort of like how 60s fashions made a resurgence for a while in the 90s, especially among those who hadn't been born at the time.

Romanticization of the past can lead to a sort of "nostalgia" for a time you never experienced.

No, I don't disagree that an 80s revival is occurring. I'm just not sure that it is primarily behind the rising popularity of synthwave.

Looks like Cyanic is leaving Groupees. They sent out emails asking for content to feature in a Farewell Cyanic bundle.

He's the most interactive staff member by a large margin, wonder how they'll get along without him. My bet is that Groupees will shut down within a year.

$1.5 for pre-order

Louise Byrne's Royalty Free Music Bundle 2

"Hi! This bundle will feature two tiers of all royalty-free music: a $1 min tier of 3 albums from Louise' first Groupees bundle, and a $3 minimum tier of 4 brand new full albums of rf music, each with a different theme."

"4 of the albums in the core bundle are previously unreleased and not available anywhere else right now. Unreleased bonus album too"

one of the admins is leaving Groupees and is having a farewell bundle: https://groupees.com/cyanic

A lot of stuff. It is mostly for the sentimental value and less for the actual games, though there are some value in the music.

3 games, 9 albums, 1 comic, and 2 others (1 drawing and 1 pnp)
