Here's an idea:
1) Go to a retail store that has it in-stock, like BB or CC.
2) Go over to the MFC printers section of the store.
3) Put the game on the printer and make a photocopy of the UPC.

I've done it before when I traded in the game before I fulfilled the PG rebate on it.

It works. I traded in a Elebits and Metroid Prime Pinball and got the 50% bonus for both games (60% since I used my Edge card).
 
Damn man if what you guys ar eposting for 360 trade in values is right then this isn't even a deal to me. Almost every newer 360 (NBA Street etc) game trade in will get you about 30 (33 with mvp) dollars at game crazy without a coupon. Man I was about to hop on this to get a PSP too. I figured the trade values were almost on par witih Game Crazy.

xrickyb86x - Gamecrazy has much better trade-in values across the board. The only thing this might be better on are brand new games like God of War II, Super Paper Mario, etc. Those only get $25 after MVP at GC (have the new flyer right here), so this EB/GS deal will give you much more credit on things like that. Without a doubt GC is better for regular Xbox and PS2 games in nearly every case (unless EB brings back the $10 extra for 3 deal which it sounds like they aren't - and even WITH that deal they only begin to compete with Gamecrazy!).

For me, this is how it would go.

Used Price: $44.99
Tax: 6% ($2.69)
Total: $47.68
Profit from trade-in: $0.32

That's not even counting the Edge card 10% bonus. At most, I'd be making a $5 profit with the card. Even then, it's still not worth it.

Imagine for states with BIGGER %s of tax.

i don't see how it's not worth it. the deal lasts till thursday. so if you buy it today it's basically like getting paid to rent a Wii game for a few days.

traded in two games today, and also saw an ad on the window that said that if you trade 2 360 games, you get 10 bux credit... so, hypothetically....

+50% credit with ad
+10% credit with edge card
+20% with halo pre order
+10 bucks when you trade in (2) 360 games

Uuuuhhhhhhh, you can't combine offers. Unless you are lucky enough to have a nice or stupid sales clerk.
 
computer won't stack the $10 bonus and the 50% bonus, so it doesn't work. If a manager did an override, maybe, but nobody's going to do that.

They tried to stack it for me i.e. put the Halo 3 code in and the coupon code but it doesn't work, in my case it defaulted to the Halo 3 20% extra.

I think they'd have to do a manual overide, which is unlikely at best.

Very YMMV, as the ad mentions the deal cannot be combined with other offers.

I tried and was refused.
 
i also could not stack coupons (which makes sense it says that in the ad) and i also could not mix and match games for the 50%. i tried 1 wii 1 360 and got denied!

I only wound up trading Blur, Zelda and Full Auto.

Also helped a guy out who had a stack of 16 games to trade and hadn't heard of the deal. Glad I brought two print outs!

Enchanted Arms $12.00 -> $19.20
Gears of War $24.00 ->$38.40
Mario Hoops 3 on 3 $12.00 -> $19.20
LoZ: TP $27.00 -> $43.20
Total: $120.00 (even, hooray!)

Io, or whoever updates the wiki.. I believe Enchanted Arms & Mario Hoops could use an update (.. I dont think they even were added)

fuck EB/GS. You CAN stack it! The EDGE card is not a fuckin promotion, it's basically a yearly membership you pay!! the 50% is a promotion, the 20% extra for reserving Pokemon or Halo is a PROMOTION--those 2 can not go together..it's completely different!

Hell, I'd laugh at you for getting in line on the 25th.... but like lilboo said, the Edge Card should stack with the additional 50% promotion no problem. Go to a different store.
 
Anyone have an updated trade-in value of Marvel: Ultimate Alliance 360? The wiki says $20, but it's almost two months old - just seeing how much things (if any) have changed.

Astonishia Story = $5.00
Darkstalkers Chronicle: The Chaos Tower = $2.50
Every Extend Extra = $5.00
Hot Shots Golf: Open Tee = $3.00
Power Stone Collection = $9.00
SSX On Tour = $7.00
Thrillville = $9.00

Those are the prices before the coupon. Yes, there are 7 games, I only traded in Power Stone, SSX, Thrillville, and Every Extend Extra.

I think I might take my Phat DS ($50), my GTA: San Andreas Xbox ($6) and Twilight Princess ($27) and WarioWare ($9 from Wiki, but not sure if still that) and trade up for a DS Lite. I want to play Pokemon in Stily. With the 50% coupon and my Edge Card, the Lite should be less than $20 out of pocket.

The original DS traded towards a Lite is a promo right now. You will only pay 69.99 when you trade the original DS towards the Lite.

Wario Ware Touched = $9 + 60% = $14.40

Total = $57.60


GTA: San Andreas = $6 + 10% = $6.60

Add that to the previous amount in credit.

Total = $64.20

Trade in the DS Phat and he only has to pay $69.99. Without sales tax, that's $5.79 he'd need to pay out of his pocket after using the credit he just got from the previous seperate trade-ins.

Sorry if I missed this, but are BK games still YMMV, or does GS take these globally now? If it's YMMV, Io may want to update the Wiki with some kind of notation.
 
he might be the manager of the store. the workers underneath him are pretty expendable when they hook up cheap ass deals but he might actually get in trouble. lol you should deal with him exclusively b/c he's the guy with the final veto power anyways

I think they take them for $1, but they are just excluded from any of the promo deals... I don't think any notation is necessary - if someone is upset they don't take those from them for $1 in credit then that really isn't a big deal and I'm sure they can handle it ;).

Actually, I think it is still YMMV on the BK games. I was able to use it as one of my two trades to get the extra 50%. The coupon itself actually just says no Demo discs so it would be pretty hard for them to exclude them from this particular offer. The extra $10 deal, however, does specifically exclude them.

Wow.. thanks for figuring that out! Now I just need to find a ride (I HATE not having a car). For the DS promotion... can I trade it in, only need to pay $69.99 and then do the trade promos so that I can only pay a few bucks out of pocket?
