If you look at the deal, it says "systems". Kinect shouldn't count as a console.

I called a few stores around me and they said since it is sold separately from the consoles (bundles being the exception) it is considered an accessory. Whether that is from corporate I don't know. It also being not tge regular gamestop employees i talk to they coulda been talking out of their ass.

The new trade promo works wonderfully with borderline Blockbuster BOGO titles! I almost went last night, but the only negatively affected value for me is Spiderman: Shattered Dimensions. Everything else gets a bump in value! Sweet.

Without the HD, the Elite IS a core. Take the price for the core and add the price for the HD.
 
Glad they have a trade 3 get 10/trade 5 get $20. Gonna dump some cheap games and some BBV games that arent complete, and make some credit.

Yeah, it looks like they dropped the values within the past 5 days to where, in the cases of the lower value consoles, the $25 promo was better. I wouldn't be surprised to see all the others drop as well, just not to where the $25 promo was better. Like the 250GB Slim 360, even if that goes down $10-20, overall this promo is better.

According to the information I was given the Kinect is considered an accessory. Also, if you look on GameStops website it is listed under accessories and is also listed as a controller. Not part of the bonus. I'm curious as to where people are getting that it has been called a system?

So what I gather from these two items is that GameStop deems it an accessory but they use the console skus in their computers to allow for further money to be made and to cut out discounts on it as well. So the Kinect probably will not work with the hardware bonus, even though it has the system sku, because the specific code for the Kinect probably isn't listed in promo information in the system. Similar to how they would have bonuses only on current-gen consoles and not for the older ones. We wont know for sure though until someone attempts to trade one in and reports here, which I don't see happening. Could be wrong though.

FWIW I can confirm a 4GB 360 Slim still has a $110 base value.

Quick question: I don't think I've ever seen one these system bonus deals that didn't exclude older systems (GBA/PS2), is this the same case for this deal or are they actually part of the deal this time around?

Normally when there is an exclusion it's listed in the promo details so it looks like you are good to go. An extra 50% on those really isn't much though.
 
question, hold off for a better trade in deal in the coming few weeks or go with this one??? the like 30% for 5 games seems like a better deal to me...
