Indirectly. Best bet is to do that deal and get a gift receipt. Then you could return and put the credit onto Halo: Reach.

newbie here to gamestop trade in offer..

how does the save $40 on madden 11 work? i took two games and all I get is the game at its retail price -$40? Doesn't that mean I only get $20 for each game?

A lot of games have gone up in price lately, WAW went from $19 used to $29, and Darksiders from $17 to $34. What gives?

Trust me when I say it's not "only" $20. There's not a single game in this database that trades in for more than $25 base.

The trade value for whatever games you choose to bring in automatically get bumped to $20 each after the promo is applied. Edge will stack with trade in. For example, if you were to trade in two $10 games, the $1 from the 10% Edge bonus will still be applied, thus bringing your total store credit to $42. Just remember, they can rule any title on this list ineligible at any time. This happens a lot when there are major sales or MSRP drops on titles.

I believe they give you 10% off a guide if you buy it with the game it's for. Although I think they gave me 20% off for the RDR guide when I got it at launch with the game.

I'm sure they will have a trade up deal considering they did it for the DSi and DSi XL, not sure if they did it when the DS lite came out. Either way I'm sure they will do something of the sort when it comes closer to release. By the way September 29th is when the 3DS pricing/release date is supposed to be confirmed.
 
Does the $20 extra on a DS trade in apply to the Phat model, too? The L button on mine doesn't always work when I press it and it'd cost $75 to repair it. If the TIV is still $25, it'd only cost $40 to replace it with another Phat or $62 to upgrade to a Lite.
