I used my fifth or sixth $5-off coupon today, they're 4000 each.

It's $39 new so it's a virtually negligible difference, it's most likely $34.99. I know Darksiders is the same way.
How did you get those coupons?

37122:D I got mine a while ago on vacation in one of their original test markets. I'll probably go for the X11 headset.

I just today got 2 - "trade in 3 get a 25% bonus" coupons at the end of my gamestop.com shipping confirmation emails.

Reno - the coupons you ask about are what you can redeem your powerrewards pts for.

Traded in alot of games, and listing only the value before the promo "Trade 3 for 20%". Altogether with the promo: $60.20; not bad enough to preorder the Borderlands GOTY edition.

PS2 games:
Inuyasha: Secret of the Cursed Mask $1.75
Nightmare of Druaga: $0.45
Gundam: Zeonic Front $0.85
Gundam: Federation vs Zeon $0.75
Gundam: Encounters in Space $1.75
DragonballZ Budokai Tenkaichi $12
Batman Begins $2.75

PS3:
Mobile Suit Gundam: Crossfire $3
Blacksite Area 51 $2.50
Clive Barker's Jericho $2.50
Borderlands $9

Wii:
Wii Play $2
How many points have people gotten so far?
For me I've gotten 1144.
I think I just have the initial 750 from signup and making a game collection or some such nonsense.

Yeah, so of course since they rolled out the rewards program here a few weeks ago I have not made a single trade or purchase. I just have very little reason to go there now and I traded most of the stuff I wanted to using the previous deal. Hopefully something will come along some time ;).

I'm not sure whether or not I should take advantage of the trade 3 in for 20% deal now or wait for the offers to change. I'm thinking that with the holiday season coming up that they may offer more bonus for trade-ins but because I haven't been following up on the gamestop trade-in offers, not sure how they tend to do these offers. Curious to know what others think.

This is one of the weakest trade-in bonus deals that GS has offered in some time. But, if you have a new release that you want to trade-in before the price drops, you might not want to wait for a new deal. If you just want to trade in some older games, the values are more likely to stay constant, and it may be safer to wait.

Dont know if this is ymmv or not, but when i went to pick up nba 2k11 today, the guy at the cash register also gave me this paper bag and said that if i had anything to trade in, whatever i could fit in the bag would get 10% extra trade in credit, along with edge extra...dont know if it stacks though.
How did you get those coupons?
By buying them with reward points. It's almost too bad I'm so impatient, I could have a pretty decent stockpile by now.

 It looks like they're copying the old FYE promo, except I think the brown bag gave you 20-40% more most times without having to have their discount card.

Viewtiful Joe (GCN) - 0.70
MLB 09: The Show (PS3) - 1.50
Splinter Cell: Pandora Tomorrow (GCN) - 1.25

All base values.

Yea I figured this was the case. Was planning to trade in all my old ps2 and gamecube games so I'll most likely be waiting. Fingers crossed that the new trade-in bonus is going to be good ;)

ps3 - Blur $15
ps3 - RDR $23
ps3 - Ninja Gaiden Sigma 2 $15
ps3 - Lost Planet $7
ps3 - infamous $10
ps3 - orange box $8
ps3 - dead space $6.50
ps3 - grid $10

Anyone having a problem getting the Power Trade to work on an existing pre-order (in this case CoD?) I have the minimum $5 down and tried to trade Crackdown 2 to get the boost, but the system will only give me the 10% extra for Edge, and not the 25% bonus for the Power Trade. Even if we canceled the pre-order and tried a new pre-order in the same transaction (didn't go through with it) it still didn't work.

FYI Crackdown 2 is holding steady at $16 for now.
The 30% coupon wasn't working for me, either; the guys couldn't figure out what it was from and got out some giant binder of memos and were digging through it and he eventually just manually overrode it and gave me 30% on top of the 3 for 20%, so I ended up with 60% altogether. I almost wish now I'd taken in some bigger trades.
Na na na! How'd you swing that? Did they have to do the 3 for 20% as well or did the computer automatically handle that for you?

I mean I have the coupon and figured it would be one of the other plus my edge card. 40% being the best I could reckon for wasn't bad but 60% would be smashing.

:360:

Blur $15.00
Dead Rising $5.00
X-men Origins: Wolverine $5.00

My Edge card had expired last month, so I had to get the new Powerup Rewards Pro. The system didn't charge me the $14.99 though. I know I got the pro plan because I got the 10% bonus on the trade-ins. Kid working couldn't figure it out so he just shrugged his shoulders and said "Have a nice day".

Welp, Mario Golf Toadstool Tour went down by 25 freaking cents. I could have saved $11 on Kirby, but nooo I only saved $10.80!

CAG rage!

tl/dr: Mario Golf Toadstool Tour TiV $2.00(10-7-10)

Wii Fit is still $1 and Shadow of the colossus is still $5, and will probaly drop further before that collection is released. =p I lost another 25 cents on that mofo!

TIVs from today

Madden 10 (PSP) - 4.00
MLB 08 The Show (PS2) - 2.25
BlazBlue (the first one) (PS3) - 6.00

Pretty shocked that I got anything for MLB 08. I couldn't get rid of it on Goozex to save my life.

I got a question on flipping with these preorder deals. If I cancel a preorder does it go against the person I initially did the preorder with, or the person who is cancelling the preorder? I have a friend that I don't want to make his stats look bad if I ever cancel a preorder.

I think its better for them if you pick it up then return it, rather than cancelling outright.

It goes against the person you cancel with. FYI cancelling reserves frequently is a surefire way to get yourself on the shitlist. It is much better to purchase and return, however if the employee is following procedure they can not immediately return a reserve pickup. I would suggest purchasing and then returning later in another transaction.

The only time I ever canceled a reserve is to move that credit to another game I was actually wanting, if I had the credit on a game just for the bonus. I think at one point I had close to $300-$400 just continuously floating on to different games. If you cancel a reserve and then make one that person is basically where they started before you got there. Not necessarily the best but better than flat out canceling.

+1. I do the same thing, just switch it to another reserve.

It goes against the one canceling the preorder.

just canceled my PT last week on COD and had them add it to the trades for Kinect this week. They do it everytime no questions asked.

So i guess what your guys are saying is if I cancel my preorder for COD:BO currently, I get the money towards COD:BO transfered over + 20% if I switch it over to the Kinect preorder.

Also anybody know I how can check the amount of money on my PowerUp Rewards card?

Traded in Borderlands Add-On Pack and got $6.00 (an increase over the value in the database, don't see that often).

Also, a side note for anyone in Richmond, VA; I went to the Gamestop in Short Pump Village and the guy there said they will be rolling out Power Up on Monday. He said just bring in your Edge card and they will switch your card over. I'm going to assume this will be for the entire market, but you may want to check with whichever store you are heading to before making the trek up there.

Anyone know what GS gives for a non-working PS3? My friend txted earlier that his PS3 died again and he was buying a slim instead of paying to have it repaired again. I told him to call and throw a fit but he's kinda a wuss. He just paid to get it repaired around June-July. Karma for making fun of my 5-6 RRODs.

EDIT: just realized I don't know what size he has.. Do they take broken PS3s? I know they take broken 360s...

They do not take broken 360s for the most part. Broken PS3s, depending on the problem, will be accepted for a $30-$40 refurb fee, putting the trade-in value around $80 or less depending on the model.
