Base TiV 11/7 -
All Xbox 360
Split Second - $11
Lego Harry Potter - $17
Enslaved - $20

Also used the buy two get one free coupon from switching over to PowerPro, and the 10% off did stack as it did with the Edge card, and the clerk said it should always stack just like Edge did. So I hope Gamestop.com gets working correctly soon.. i emailed customer service about that.

Would anyone be able to tell me what a DSi XL system's base TIV is currently? Thanks to anyone that can help me out!

Quick question: when I go to trade in my GBA SP, do I have to have the original charger that it came with or will a 3rd party one work?

edit: Ouch. Also, I just realized that yesterday I traded in CoD WaW & they rang it up as CoD4. A difference of $7.50 base value. I guess I can't do anything about that now, huh? That really sucks. But it's what I get for being in a hurry I suppose.

11/07

Wii
All Star Cheer 2 $4.00
Hannah Montana Movie $3.00
Hannah Montana World Tour $5.00

Xbox 360
Scene It? Bright Lights Big Screen $5

On system trade-in's they're going to inspect for damage and make sure it plays a game. For PS2's specifically, they are supposed to test all 3 styles of PS2 disks: blue (CD), silver (standard DVD), and gold (dual-layer DVD usually one of the GoW games.)

On the portables, a 3rd party charger will be fine and the serial number must be scannable and/or legible.

any working charger is fine.
the gba sp must still have the scan bar/serial number on the back...legible or scannable.
I took a couple in yesterday and they only accepted one (scan bar) even though rejected one was in great shape.

I'm mixed up about the Black Ops trade-in stuff. There's 2 different things. What do I get if I trade in Medal of Honor?

If you just signed up/ugraded it may take a few days but you'll be able to print off from your account on the website.

I bought a powerup rewards card over a week ago I still have not received my b2g1 free coupon I called customer service yesterday the rep told me the coupons are computer generated it is taking the system up to two weeks to send out the coupons I should receive mine this week.

Hello all! First let me start off by saying this is prob the baddest forum I have found on Google lol. The creator of this thread is Jesus to me right now because I have been searching for a site or a thread with pricing for trade ins and while it MAY or MAY NOT be right on it still gives me an idea. I have been trading games since 12 years of age (1999) and have I have done it all haha.

So to the point, I have here a few games (GBA, Gamecube, Wii, X360) and am scrounging around for anything I have because I REALLY want black ops lol. So long story short I would like some insight or second brain on this to help with this math to make sure I have this all right.

Now Im not being precise with this because one thing I do is never attach the percentage add ons with trade in until I know I have met the price or close to what I desire:

GBA:
Mario & Luigi Superstar Sagas - $3.75 (5/22/10)
Pokemon Emerald - $9.50
(10/30/10)

Super Mario Advance 2: Super Mario World 2 - $6.50 (6/26/10)
Gamecube:
Pokemon XD - $5 (10/8/10)
Wii:
Super Paper Mario - $10 (9/17/10)
X360:
The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion - $3
(11/3/10)

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 - $14 (11/4/10)

Now I also have Left 4 Dead 2 but I am trying to hold onto it mainly for personal reasons. So I ask any experts out there that could help me with this and tell me if I can do this with just those games or if I am screwed until payday :]. Thank you in advance

First off, do you have an EDGE/Power Up Pro card? If so, you get an additional 10% on your trade-in's. You will want to utilize 2 promo's (Trade 3 Get $10 and the 25% bonus Trade In towards Black Ops)

Trade these 3 in separately:
Modern Warfare 2 - 14
Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion - 3
Super Paper Mario - 10

With EDGE and the promo, you will receive 39.70 for these 3 games.

Then trade these in:
Mario & Luigi Superstar Sagas - $3.75 (5/22/10)
Pokemon Emerald - $9.50 (10/30/10)
Super Mario Advance 2: Super Mario World 2 - $6.50 (6/26/10)
Pokemon XD - $5 (10/8/10)

With EDGE and the 25% promo, you will receive 33.41 for these 4 games.

This is the GS TIV thread, but I feel it would be irresponsible for me to not let you know that Best Buy is giving $30 if you trade in Modern Warfare 2 right now. This messes up the Trade 3 Get $10 promo as you will only have 2 games that qualify, but if you traded in Left 4 Dead 2 along with them, you would then qualify for the promo again.

This is under the assumption that the values are correct, and many may have dropped in the past 4-5 months. I would suggest calling a store to confirm trade in values so that you can figure out the best way to trade in your games.

Also perhaps shop around as you may be able to get better TIV's at other stores. And Gamestop doesn't have any sales on Black Ops either, so you could potentially save money as well by purchasing from another store.

Where do I start yes I do have the card hell I have gameinformer mags dating back to 99 haven't missed a renewal. I know of best buys offer because I do work at best buy only thing is I have rent to pay and I am completely out of any sort of money for another two weeks and I didn't want to wait that long. Anything Im trading in, is pretty much no use to me because I haven't played any of them in months except MW2. I calculated around 63 without adding the promos so it all seems to be accurate and I thank you for that.

Once I have traded them in I will give the recent updates on credit for the rest of the forum. Thanks again!

I got a question that I desperately need answered. Okay I pre ordered CoD: Black Ops from Amazon. I really wanna play it with my brother tonight though. Didn't realize he was going to go pick it up to. If I pick it up from gamestop tonight, and receive my amazon copy tomorrow. Can I return the amazon copy to gamestop? I know that came out a little confusing.

If they have the same UPC code on the back then yes.

Updated lists and database. Well not entirely true. Currently sorting through around 20 updates to the database that are not base value. No idea why people do it, but it irks me. Especially considering on the tracker page it says input base values.

11/08 Base Value

360:
Bioshock: 3.00
Assassin's Creed 2: 4.00
Fable III: 25.00
Dead Rising 2: 23.00
Vanquish: 20.00
Enslaved: Odyssey to the West: 18.50

Used the 25% Kinect Bonus, so I nabbed the Kinect for $40 in the end. Good deal for me.

TiV from earlier (11/8):

45.00 360 Core System w/wireless controller
10.00 360 20gb HDD
10.00 360 Wireless Headset w/charger
09.00 WII Controller

04.75 PS2 Shadow of the Colossus
10.50 PS2 Ico (disc-only)
09.00 360 Just Cause 2
04.00 PS3 Killzone 2
Would anyone be able to tell me what a DSi XL system's base TIV is currently? Thanks to anyone that can help me out!
Always great to see another Thursday fan. They got a new cd coming next spring!! Back on topic, I know Gamestop takes messed up systems but I have a fat Ds that has a screen so messed up and scratched it's unplayable. Should I even bother trying to trade it in?

Trades from 11/8 (all values before bonuses):

Wii
Wii Zapper/Blaster - $5.75
New Play Control! Pikmin - $6.00
House of the Dead: OVERKILL - $6.00
MadWorld - $2.00

XB360
Arcade Unplugged - $2.00
Rock Band Track Pack Vol. 2 - $2.50
Wired Microphone - $3.75

PS3
Rock Band Track Pack Vol. 2 - $1.50

Made a couple of stops to unload all of the track packs I picked up, and ended up with enough to get a shiny new keyboard for Rock Band :). Also, seems like most of the stores in my area were willing to budge on the 'only one copy of each game per transaction' rule as long as stuff was in good condition. The stores said there was a limit of two per transaction, so that's something at least.

I asked on the phone, and the trade in value for the Kinect is $80, which you only need the accessories, not the game.

Flingsmash for Wii- $9

This comes bundled with the "new" Black Wii remote(motion+ built in)- retails for $50, game is kinda bad
This is what I did
Bought it at Kmart $50 + $10 coupon (now till 11-13)
Flingsmash is good as a $20 trade in title towards Donkey Kong Country returns + edge =$22

So it works out good if you are looking to get a new Wiimote & DKCR!

Jeff

I couldn't find a definitive answer anywhere else online, so I figured CAG would be my best bet. Should Gamestop be charging me tax on online purchases made entirely with credit on my Edge card? I live in VA. They replied to my email inquiry saying that they should, but I keep hearing otherwise. Thanks for any help.

From FAQ Post (Second Post) very last question.
My state doesn't charge sales tax on purchases made by credit, why is gamestop.com charging me tax?
It is just the way they have designed their system. The best theory we have seen is that since you are only inputting the number off of the back of the card, it isn't going to pick up the programming from the specially tagged EDGE cards. Some kind of programming that gets input from their system that wont show up when only inputting the number off the back of the card.
Basically, all online purchases are taxed regardless what you are paying with. Just the way the system is built.

Thanks, man. Sorry I missed it. Are some people having luck getting refunded on this? It seems like it involves tax law and that they can't have a flaw in their system forever. I don't want to fight them if they are in the right.

Thanks again.

It's been hit and miss on getting refunds for it. I think it's easier for them to do it this way and also because your games could be shipping/sold from a warehouse in a state that does charge tax on credit purchases.

Traded these in today.

:ps3:

Call of Duty: World at War - $8 (Thanks you Black Ops Hardened!)

:wii:

Pokemon Battle Revolution - $17
FlingSmash - $9

Thanks to the guaranteed $20 and extra 25% toward DKC Returns I got $22 each for the Wii games and almost $11 for WaW meaning that Donkey Kong is paid off. Another very good day.

Okay on that $20 "guaranteed thing" : I just got a bonus $20 for Reach for some reason? Maybe they DO tack on the $20 in addition to the normal TIV?

There is NO other way I could have gotten $45 for Reach.
