I'm actually pretty stoked about this; I have a random 'crap accessory' box I've been keeping for quite awhile; time to finally dump all this stuff. I hope GS is ready for an influx of singstar mic's, ethernet and power cables, and 3rd party PS2 controllers! :)
 
I've got a few items to drop off at GS.

Would I get ANYTHING for a wired Gamestop 360 controller?

It also says they are giving $6.25 for a wired headset? Hmm.. would they take it if the ear piece is faded? It's an older headset and I guess overtime it's just faded the gray coloring and is now like a light brown/orange.. lol
 
I've been wanting to trade in my wireless controller for 360 that's always drifting to the left. Just replaced it with one of the ones on sale at amazon.
 
I've probably got 3 or 4 spare ethernet cables laying about - thanks for pointing out that they take those. Will they balk at 4 ethernet cables traded in at once? In any case it's time to get rid of those and my other junk accessories. It all adds up to something, and that's better then nothing. Only problem is the limit 5 of the coupon. It's going to mean multiple trips, which would make it less worthwhile, except that I've got two GS's nearby so it's not too bad for me, and one of them's by a Starbucks which my wife will want a mocha from anyway.
 
Yeesh, the weekly coupon used to be something to look forward to...there hasn't been a good one since last July. Remember when every other week was a 20% off coupon?

Well, looks like I'll be trading in some Memory Sticks. I have way too many that I no longer use besides the 8 GB that's in my PSP and the 4 GB that's in my Cybershot.
 
Weird question, but I had traded in my 360 currently and kept the hard drive in case I ever got a new one.

With the 25%, I'm thinking of trading in the hard drive - however, it has confidential information on it, namely one of my current CC numbers. I've heard Gamestop sends the HD off to get wiped, but I'm not really trusting of that.

Is it possible for a GS employee to shove it into a 360 and wipe it right there before I trade it in? I'd rather not take a chance that it never gets wiped, and my CC number ends up in the hands of some kid.
 
Nice. Going to trade in my wireless controller whose stick is really loose. I can also return the used psp 3000 that I got, which is in excellent condition I really wanted a new one though. What's the warranty on new psps.

Well, this is amusing... Gamestop Canada sells Soul Calibur IV new for $14.99 (used is $9.99). I wonder why SC4 is so much more expensive in the states.
 
Just wondering... One of my PS3 DS3 controllers only works when plugged into USB and the lights don't come on for my other one. Do they take money off, charge you a refurb. fee or anything for stuff like that? How do they check them?

Bought a copy of Final Fantasy X-2 yesterday, and the game won't get past the first cutscene you can't skip without freezing on my PS3. Looks like I'll be exchanging it. Good price though.
 
I take back what I said about the coupon. I traded the following in and got a Ceramic White Dual Shock 3 for $8 :)

Edge & Coupon helped this one out!! Also I know the manager and the assistant manager so they let me trade in 2 wired headsets from 2 of my xbox bundles that I have purchased in the past. Don't need those cuz I have TB x41s and 2 wireless headsets. :)

FFX-2 was cool cuz it was all grrls, but it seemed the battles were just too high sped. I know this is weird that an rpg was too fast, but I felt I didn't have time to strategize and just kept picking the same attacks. Once you get the ultimate spheres all I would do is change outfits til I could ultimate transform every battle.
 
It looks like it's time to dump that PS3 Bluetooth headset from the Endwar bundle I picked up. I never used the damned thing, so at least whoever gets it next will not get some nasty ass shit that's been in someone's ear.

I just noticed today that gamestop.com seems to have changed how they handle CAG16+Edge. First they apply CAG16 for 16% off, and then they apply Edge 10% off on the new total, after having applied CAG16. It's still a good deal, but not as good as it was, or was it always like this and I just didn't notice it in the past?
 
Just came back from Gamestop and got the following for my trade-ins:

PS3 DualShock 3 - $22.27
2x PS3 Sixaxis Controller - $19.57 ea = $39.14
PSP Memory Duo 2.0GB - $5.40
PSP Memoery Duo 4.0GB - $9.45

Total = $76.26

These deals were after the 25% coupon and 10% Edge card.

Not to shabby of a trade-in special. Especially considering that the DS3 I traded in was starting to crap out on the R2 button, so I used this credit to get a new Ceramic White DS3!

They never took Drums, Guitars they stop taking about 6 months ago, but they still do take the Mics as of yesterday.

If you don't need it for your PS3 it's actually one of the best PC webcams available. Just google the drivers. Of course if you need no PC webcam then whatever, but I thought I should let you know.

I've got a couple of PS3 Sixaxis controllers I'd like to trade in, but the left analog sticks are completely busted, they get stuck whenever you push them to the right or up... anyone have any luck trading in some busted controllers?

Also, have a couple of wireless XBOX 360 controllers where the rubber on the left stick has almost completely been rubbed off (launch units). Anyone have this experience?

I'm not 100% sure, but I believe it's listed on my trade receipt as Sony BT with charging cable. Any old USB to mini USB will do though, I would think.
 
Yeah. I just got 14.00 for a wireless 360 controller. The right bump is messed up since I dropped it a few times. The first GS I went to actually checked it out and wouldn't take it. The second store did take it. I find it weird that they make people pay 15 dollars a year for this extra 10% when they don't even need to scan the card. Guy asked me If I had one, he didn't even see it and just put the 10% on.

Yes, you do need the AA battery cover to trade in.

Did they give a reason why? They've taken mine and other people's as well. Try another store I guess, or simply go back when there are different employees working.
