GT4 free with Trade in of 3 games!!!!

It DOES appear to good to be true.. does EB have some kind of huge overflow of GT 4 they have to get rid of?

Hell, I'd gladly trade off 3 GBA games to get this (probably only xbox / ps2 / gc qualifies, though).

It's not mentioned on the website either... I'm heavily doubting this one.
 
Hell yeah there is a huge over stock on that game, the store I work at has about 50 copies and we are not even a high volume store. Its real trust me, there is a poster hanging in my store about it.
 
Now if we only knew what was excluded.
Anyone know if Spiderman 2(GC), Youfself Fitness(XB), Animal Crossing(GC) or NCAA 2004(XB) qualify? I'm thinking of doing it and flipping it.

Doubtful. They are pretty old titles and most EBs already have a ton used (with the exception of the fitness game)
 
All of those work except for NCAA 2004. What I always recommend doing is takeing a bunch of games you domt care bout getting rid of to the store and ask the employee to tell you if they are qualifying, if they are take the 3 that are the least and use them toward GT4, im going to do it tomorrow, and the games I am trading in are all worth $1 trade in value.

there is no yourself fitness on gc..
 
I'm interested in this as well. still haven't picked up gt4 and was planning to sometime and this looks like the perfect deal. Wish someone had the exclusion list though so I would know what qualifies.

Just called EB, and they thought I was fucking insane... only deal he said they had was Madden, and he isn't sure why they'd run a trade in deal on an old game.

You guys might want to call and confirm before you get all excited.

Medal of Honor probablly works (the GC version does) but I tried Breakdown on Saturday and it was POX.

Four different EB's have told me the same thing since I last posted... one even looked up all the current available deals. They said the only trade in deal they have is for Madden 2006.

Unless all of Tampa Bay is somehow way behind the times.

Plus the fact it's not advertised on the website under the deals section.
 
if I were you roufus i would call a EB and tell them 3 games you want to trade in and tell them you wanna get GT4, ask them to ring it up with sales tax cause you wanna know how much it would be (cause your getting money from your mother to get the game) and you need to exact price. THEN youll see it legit.
I know its alot of work but then youll see it works

they dont do that, when there is a promotion it is nation wide. Like lets say that a store in LA has coupons in the paper for a game, for that store. They will still work if you go to NY and use that coupon if they dont read that it only works in LA.
 
Hmmm...this sounds interesting. But GT4? I'm not into racing games, I think I'll pass. Now if it was Madden for 3 games instead of 5 games that would be good.

and why would you feel insane calling and asking about deal for a old game, Its GT4 not Tekken 4, GT4 is not that old, NOt even a year

After the second EB, I just started asking about "Any current trade in deals"... after the spiel about Madden, I asked nicely "Is that all, or is there any other ones that might have started?" to which they'd look, and reply "Nope, just Madden".

And to the people saying that this game will soon be 25 - 30... totally missing the point. I can trade in 3 games I got for less than 15 to get a brand new GT 4? Sounds like a better deal to me than buying it for 30

I traded in rainbow six 3, Espn Nhl 2k5, and The newest Ps2 jampack and got gt4 for free.

I would badly be interested in the deal since I really want the game GT4, more than Forza. I would probably trade in some Xbox games collecting dust, if they qualify.

GT4 > Forza and yes, I've played both.

I would suggest you ask SPECIFICALLY for GT4 deals. When you say "Got any deals" 9 times out of 10 then just go from memory rather than look up anything (EB laziness)

Call up, say your friend got in on a GT4 deal at another location and youd like to do the same there. Thatll get them checking better than "got any deals"

Tried that at TWO different locations, the first two I called... I got the same awkward pause, and the same "I... don't think we're running a deal on that game... it's kind of old, but I can check" Then there's some typing, usually a muffled "Hey, do we have any deals on GT 4? "GT 4? Why would there be a trade in deal on that, and with only 3 games?" "The guy on the phone says there's a sign up at the Tyrone location". Then they tell me they have no information on such a deal and they've gotten nothing from the top about it.

The last two locations I just asked about preorder deals, because I was sick of the awkward pauses and the "wow this guy is way off" tone in their voices.

Ok, it sounds like you gave it your best shot. Id like to believe the guy who said hed "check" actually used the computer and not hollaring out to his buddy.

Its all still very YMMV until somebody else other than the OP scores/posts a reciept.

Just be patient. Time will tell all.

Im not going to bash anyone for their preferences but I am extremely curious to know why you think GT4 > Forza.

I know Forza isnt without its flaws. Im just curious to see if you see those flaws and they made GT4 the victor for you.
