Guess What, Modding Is Back In Halo 2

CAGiversary!
I played a game tonight on Terminal, it was actually Assault, the new cheat?

Everyone starts with "fake" unarmable bombs. You can hit people all day long with them and they don't kill anyone. On top of that the new mods allow you to place train cars, yes you read that right, lets you place train cars on the bomb planting spot, in front of doors or anywhere else for that matter. You can't place the bombs on the spot even if they're armed.

Now the train cars will disappear after 30 seconds or so. It is also possible to get rid of the "fake" bomb by pulling the left trigger and then immediately picking up a weapon. The "real" bomb is still the real bomb. You can't pick it up though unless you pull the left trigger getting rid of your starting "fake" bomb and then grab it as normal.

This is by far the dumbest mod I have EVER seen in a game. We figured out how to get around the mod in a minute or two on offense and tied the game.

I'm sure though that while this may be the first new mod since the big cheating patch it's not going to be the last.

Modding is still very much possible...It's just that the people who do it will now get singled out and removed quicker than before.

i joined some guy's game and they were modding on warlock with the bomb thing too...i left though cuz i didnt know what to do

well, tonight i just got modded twice. first one was on backwash where the modder does a super jump in the air and fires BR bullets like it was a turret. finally, a team slayer game where they were doing the stand-by crap all game long. even though they won, they REALLY REALLY suck at standby and couldn't kills for squat. my team for sure would have one if weren't those fucking cheaters. luckily, i'm email [email protected] and the banhammer will be coming soon to their xboxes

I lost my Lvl 33 in TS twice now caz of modders....bastards. I also recently got standbyed 2x, which caught me off guard because it hadn't happened to me since the last patch was supposed to get rid of it.

Try listening to your Xbox. New maps will make a hard drive noise which increases the chance to get modded tenfold. Whenever I party up, we have someone listen to their box and tell us if we should cancel or not.
