Pac 3D (I think thats what its called)

and Metroid

I really hope they get the 2D/3D Mario out, but since it wasn't playable...it dosn't seem likley.
 
with Mario they should have learned their lesson with the GCN.

Don't worry. I talked to Nintendo after the launch, and they were in tears over YOU not buying the system right then.

I'm sure they won't make the mistake of underestimating you again.
 
Luigi's Mansion blew. It was over in less than 6 hours and when I was done with it I had no desire to play it over again (unlike Mario games)

Eldad no need to be such of a dick. I was only stating my opinion and you wanted to be an ass. I usually do not say stuff like this but fuck you. I am sure Nintendo understands that Mario is the key to a systems success in the short run, and launching a system without some variation of the Italian plumber is pretty dumb.

i understand that...it was a risky decision for nintendo to make (luigi at launch instead of mario)...but i personally don't get excited for mario games...sure they're great games...but nothing that i can't wait for

Luigi's Mansion was pretty crappy, especially since it drew the inevitable comparison to the last big system launch title (Mario 64).

$50 a game? To hell with it. I'll stick to the ol' SP. Though my NGPC gets more play lately.
 
I'm thinking the first games will be:
Mario 64x4
Warioware DS
Metroid Hunters
The chat thingy
and maybe 2 others

They seemed pretty much the furthest along. Also a mario game at launch would garuntee nothing, yeah it's nice to see the little italian stereotype but his existance isnt going to make them a gajillion bucks, the games have to be good ingeneral they cant keep relying on a single name forever....(not even miyamoto's!)

Also: I hope you guys arent taking EB's word for anything that hasnt been released yet, that'd be the most hilarious thing I ever saw a person do if you did, especially with their reputation for tossing up imaginary dates just to justify the preorder system.
 
EB lists the price at $50 because they know the games won't be priced over $50. If they listed all the games at $19.99, and Nintendo announced each game would be $34.99, EB would have to honor all pre-orders for that price. Atleast at the $50, they can lower it and not piss ANYONE off.
 
yeah they will I WANT TO PAY 50! not 34.99!...jk...I highly doubt they would make a portable well out of the "portable" price range... 30 to 40ish dollars has been the price for portable games and I dont think nintendo is gunna change it...I dont think mario 64x4 is gunna be all that great...Im looking forward to metroid and animal crossing...also the messeging!
 
Rez 2? I love Rez as much as the next guy, but considering that the original Rez didn't exactly sell like hotcakes, I don't forsee a game as artistic at that one coming up with a sequel.
 
a good porn game...all joking aside it would be awesome to see the wireless technology in place so we can have multiplayer wars in a game like dodgeball (that would rock). because apart from the off sports (like the aforementioned dodgeball) sports games generally blow chunks on portable systems

Actually, the man who made it (forgot his name) said he really wanted to make Rez 2 for one of the new handhelds. It just won't be named Rez 2, because Seaga owns the name. But it will be a spiritual successor to Rez I hope it's true.
 
Hmm, EBGames has the release date for those games listed as 3/15/2005...probably placeholder dates? I wouldn't be surprised if the prices are priceholders too, knowing how greedy EB is.

So far, no firm price is known about anything about either handhelds. I'm surprised EB lists Pictochat DS as separate...wtf? I want those features inherent in my DS!
 
yea i relly dont think picto chat is gonna sell well i bet their gonna bunle it with the ds because if they sell it seperatly people will just spend their money on a game because why get it if no one has it
 
Im hoping for some type of trading card game for lanch. I would like Magic the Gathering, but Pokemon, Star Trek, Star Wars, or Lord of the Rings would all work for me.
 
i think nintendo should redesign the outlook of DS before we should think about the possible releases on that~ i don't want to see GBA got screwed but then DS has already lost by the outlook when comparing to PSP
 
well i really dont know who you think says the outlook on the psp is better than that of the ds, most of the recent news surrounding the psp is that very little is known about the system. Investors in Nintendo are very confident about the DS but everyone just doesnt know enough about the psp to make a good choice.

The square game for the DS should be done close to launch as when i played it at e3 it seemed pretty far along in development. I also think that the mobile gundam game will also be present at launch. from what i hear around is that 30 or so games will launch with the system so i count mario kart ds as well as animal crossing as almost sure launch titles, but then again i have been known to be wrong...
