I've owned my gamecube for a year now and guess what...I HATE IT :eek: I have 0 games for it at the moment becuase nothing on it interests me becuase i dont really like platformers and have already beat the RE games. And dont say mario kart dd is great to me, i bought it and hated it because it was too slow and im a speed junkie. Than i got the "great" metroid and had more fun taking off the shrink wrap than playing the damn thing. If anyone else wants to send me hate letters feel free or if nyone agrees with me than more power to them. And no im not a ps2 fanboy because if i was i wouldnt have bought the gc
 
Why did you buy a GC if you dont like anything on it and then make a post proving how dumb you are?
 
If you're a speed junkie, get F-Zero GX. Viewtiful Joe is one of the best games I've seen in years, and if you say you didn't like it, you're a liar.

lol i bought my gamecube because i really wanted alot of the exclusive games but when i got them they dissappointed me and i ended up letting them all go. And yes i played viewtiful joe, it was pretty fun just not my thing, i guess it all depends on what you like. And ya i forgot there is a game i like. MGS twin snakes
 
gamecube IMO is a multplayer oriented system, its mainly fun with groups of friends. so if ur playing alone, it could explain why. anyways if u want a fast racer than definetly go for f-zero gx, i dont think there is anything faster out there right now.
 
What I don't understand is you said you got the GCN for the exclusive games but then were dissapointed. Many of the exclusive titles on the GCN are sequels to games they have been putting out for years. It seems pretty easy to know what to expect, except for maybe Metroid Prime which is radically different from other Metroids.
 
I bought mine at launch and must admit that I do play my Xbox more.... I do like playing the following Single player games.
Resident Evil
Metroid Prime
Zelda Wind Waker
Mario Sunshine
Eternal Darkness


Have you tried all of those games?
 
I can sort of understand what he's going through. I don't know how old you are, but I'm getting more picky about games too as I get older. Don't hate on the man for having some of his own gaming tastes. bruce_pwns_j00 could've easily just said... blah blah Nintendo suxx0rs , but you didn't.

I suggest if you don't like your Gamecube, then try to trade or sell it here or on Ebay. I personally don't like GC myself, but there are good games on there. If you don't like the system, then you don't like it - that's the bottom line. Maybe you can use that money to buy another system or just save it up or whatnot.
 
I feel the same way about my ps2. I have like 2 games for it (Final Fantasy X-2 and GT3). I only play GT3, which i think is the only good game on PS2. In case your wondering, i have an xbox, but would gladly buy a cube just for starfox, mario kart double dash, and maybe a few others. The cube is soo much better than the PS@, if you have an xbox at least.
 
Exactly magilacudy. Now that im getting older my gaming tastes have really changed. I used to love platformers now i mostly hate them. it takes somethin epic like max payne 2 or mgs 2 to keep me hooked. when i say epic i mean like a deep story and complex gameplay that kinda thing.
 
i bought my game cube for die hard vendetta...cuz lets face it....die hard is the best movie in the world....and bruce willis is the coolest actor in the world...and no.....i do love women...anyways....the game isn't that great....but oh well...it was still a 9 out of 10 in my book just for being a die hard game....

the 2nd reason i bought a gamecube....pikmin....the coolest strategy game in the world (in my book)....i cant wait for part 2
 
need for speed underground is a pretty fast ps2 racing game and so is burnout and burnout 2...u should check those out if u haven't already...i like racing games too...2nd favorite to strategy rpgs...

I love my cube. however Id like to see some more games.
Excluding the fact bearly every gaming minute over the last week has been spent on my box with kotor, I play my cube most. after I get through the 5 or so cube games I have lined up theres ntohing of interest to me on it.
 
I got my GCN for free. I've been very disappointed in it so far. There's a couple of marquee games I haven't played on it (Viewtiful Joe, Mario Kart, F-Zero), but I haven't had the inclination. PS2 generally gets most of my play time, though Xbox has caught up a lot lately. Guess the GCN just doesn't fit me as well as I hoped.
 
I have had my cube since teh wallmart deal teh deal after thanksgiving. I have played it maybe 20 hours. I play the xbox5+ hours a day.

what are you morons playing on XDude? there's not a single decent game on that which is not named Trivial Pursuit. Trivial pursuit is all the Xdude has got, and it's available for PS2 and PC. Bonus, PC is 10bux less.

So you want to watch a movie and press a button every few minutes. msg 2 is NOT an epic by any stretch of the imagination, and I see no reason to touch max payne 2. You seem like a tomb raider fan as well, it wouldn't surprise me. If the whole point of this tread was to say you don't like the gamecube, please don't waste my time by making me "guess what".

im not, only got the thing really for sega exclusives. that and multi-platform games.
 
I don't understand why so many people have so much love for the Xbox, and such undying hatred for the Gamecube.

Of course, this entire thread seems like it would fit better on Gamefaqs in one of the troll war boards.. there really isn't much point to this other than to try and spark a flame war.

Its not that I hate the cube, but I just like the box more. The cube has a couple of awesome games, just not ones I like.

Sorry I'm not really counting PSO mainly because it doesn't interest me and the fact that I don't like the idea of paying a monthly fee.

Amen to that, brutha. I bought my Xbox for JSRF and Panzer Dragoon Orta. Since then, I've found a few other good reasons to keep playing, thankfully.

Around this time last year, I would have said the cube was my favorite console. I played it almost exclusively, since at the time I had bought Metroid, Star Fox Adventures, and Wind Waker in a pretty short span. Ever since I stored up on PS2 games during the big KB sale in December, though, the PS2's been my console of choice.
 
It all depends on what types of games you enjoy. For the most part I could care less about stories in games, I find most, even the good ones, to be subpar. I play for a great gameplay experience, and love adventure and platforming games, so I am a sucker for Nintendo exclusives. I really enjoy my cube, I haven't owned other consoles but never needed to because I always had roomates that had the others. Doesn't get any better than Metroid Prime, Wind Waker, BG&E, and PoP for me. I realize the last two aren't exclusives.

If you are looking for a story and well done voice-acting you really must try Eternal Darkness. I also vote for Beyond Good and Evil as the best incorporation/feeling of playing a story in comparison to some games where its a movie with some button pressing.
 
For me it is the PS2 I never play. The only games I have even played on my PS2 are FFX, Gran Turismo, and Metal Gear Solid (which I thought kinda sucked). I own others, but just don't play them (not many others). My Cube on the otherhand gets almost as much use as my SNES and NES, but not quite :)
 
LOL you guys think I like xbox..i sold my xbox lol i dident like it either, and dennis is there anything you like besides eating dick?
 
I've had my gamecube since it came out. I dont have many games for it, but i couldnt be more happy with the games that i do have. Of course the only games i own are the GCN exclusives, but thats kind of the reason i bought it in the first place. So even though i play my PS2 more, i think i have more fun with games from the cube.
 
I kno vtdgnca im just worried about the controls for it. I'm used to controlling mgs games with a ps2/1 controller, is the control gonna be ok for gc?

I'd have to say out of all my systems I probly play my Cube the most then my Xbox and last but not lest My PS2 .
 
My friend has a cube, another friend has a PS2, and I have an Xbox. GC is the worst out of these, and I like Xbox the best.
