Refurbished? Open box? Recertified?
Many of the products that Uncle Vic offers are refurbished or recertified. We carry only the highest grade quality refurbished products that have been tested and recertified by manufacturers as like new, and we never sell scratched or dented products. A very high percentage of refurbished products we receive were returned to the manufacturer without ever being used! Also, some products are listed as "New - Open Box" meaning just that -- the products are in new condition but the packaging or container may be slightly affected. The bottom line is we can get you great products at prices typically well below retail.

This is a great deal for anyone that were looking for these GH games. The prices sound very good but the shipping might kill it. Hmm...

GH:WT Band Kit for the 360 is OOS...

I would have bought it at that price plus the 50% off. I Will be keeping an eye on this thread...

Thanks for that, Good luck to you! I already have too many Guitars but your prices seem very reasonable!

I have a question for you guys: when I post deals in the future, should I keep changing the first post of this thread, or create an entirely new one every time?

These prices are really good on pretty much everything especially the gaming / monitors and TV's.

Definitely adding this site to my favorites. Would have gotten the entire world tour bundle for 360 but it was OOS before I could, which isn't surprising. Got the bundle with guitar though that came out to $42 and some change with shipping . Unbeatable price

EDIT: I'd probably try to stick with this thread if you could get the title changed to something that would attract more people to it rather than just people looking for GH stuff. If not then i'd create a new thread and just keep changing the first post of that one.

You should email [email protected] and have him approve this thread, then you should make a new thread with a Weekly Deal just for CAG.

Yup, almost all of our GH sets are new open items, meaning that the products are in new condition but the packaging or container may be slightly affected. We never sell any scratched or dented products. Also, the sets have been fully tested and recertified by manufactuers to be "like new", and they come with everything that a new set comes with.

Let me know if you have any more questions! :)
new open box gets how long warranty ?
According to his website, 60 days. Which is better then RedOctane since when I got GH3 their warranty was about two weeks.

Typically the included warranty varies by product, but yes the GH sets come with 60 day warrantees. You can always find this information on every product's page on our site. Also, you have the option to buy extended warranties on alot of our stuff (although I don't think the GH sets qualify).

You can get the full low-down on open-items, refurbs, and warranties on the FAQ page at http://unclevic.com/faq/default.asp\\:D/

It looks like these are back in stock now.

Shipping for the world tour band kit is 30 which makes it around 93$ for me. Not worth it when I can just go into gamestop and buy it brand new for the same price and not have to wait.

Hey Uncle Vic,

Nice website, and welcome to the CAG community. Although I am stocked up on GH stuff right now, I can tell that you and I are going to do some business eventually!

One request: Do away with the pop-up girl who starts talking to you on the website. I think I speak for the entire universe when I state that we all hate that stuff. Especially since it's not even a third party ad, it's an Uncle Vic ad. I'm already there!

Aside from that minor quibble, I think your site looks/functions great. See ya soon.

too bad, i thought $60 would be the right price for the whole band kit lol

And I hear you about the video, it's definitely not everyone's cup of tea - but it's also geared towards people who stumble upon the site and don't know what we're all about. Let me see what I can do with the higher-ups!

In the meantime, you can use the controls that pop up when you hover over the video to mute or X her out. And I believe if you let her play through all the way once, she doesn't come up again!

Hey all, just posted new deals this week for Xbox 360s. Check the first post for all the info! And let me know if you have any questions. :)

I'm actually rather tempted to get a second 360, but I'm going to have to wait until I bite on this. Thanks for the information, though.

Was just hanging in there to eventually get a Jasper unit, but if you guys think Falcons are reliable, then I may take a closer look.

You have a nice set up, editing the first post should automatically bump you, you should only make a new thread once you have a lot posts on this thread.

For examples and ideas on how other CAGs who advertise directly here see the two following threads.

And the deals seem cool might buy sometime. It might also help to post if you charge tax and/or shipping in the first post.

Uncle Vic... I am greatly looking forward to you featuring PS3's haha I've been looking for a good deal on them and you might be good enough to push me over the edge (especially if you have any BC ones)

I'll be purchasing an Elite from your site very soon to replace the 20gb one I have with no HDMI. Does it include the normal 3 year warranty against RROD with Microsoft? This seems too good to be true, even for a refurbished.

I actually just posted an issue with my present xbox. I think I may need to purchase a new one. My question is, I have the power box, hdmi wire and a hard drive. These are all for the pro system.

If i purchase the premium 20gb would i be able to use my hdmi wires from my pro system? I'm only asking because I see you offer a 20gb premium with hdmi. So I'm just curious to if the first system supports hdmi wires.

Awesome deal I may be doing tons of business with you!

Refurbs never have the same warranties as new systems from MS. If they are like the GS refurbs you get what you buy and unless you buy the extended warranty, you're all but screwed.

Usually GS refurbs show up as "ineligible" when you try to register them for repairs.

Whew, lots of questions! Let me see if I can answer some of them.
I just might bite on buying myself another 360. are the falcon chips reliable?
Ever since we switched to the Falcon mobos, our RMAs have decreased by over 50%, so they are definitely a step up!

The extended warranties are with CPS (http://www.cpscentral.com/), and they handle claims and perform repairs. Unfortunately, as with most products in the refurb market, you won't be able to get a warranty directly with Microsoft.

Thanks.
You know what, that's a great question! I personally have no idea, and I just sent an email out to our distributor to find out exactly what that means. I'll get back to you!

I'm betting "xclaim" is really just a typo for "x-clamp" fix which is where they replace they clamp that holds the heatsink onto one of the chips. I'm not an expert but it was widely thought at one point that the clamp's poor design was contributing to overheating and warping, eventually resulting in 3-red-ring death.

Great timing, I actually just got an email response that says the exact same thing! I'm gonna go fix that typo right now. :)
