MARTIN COUNTY - Martin County Sheriff's detectives didn't buy it when a 48-year-old Jensen Beach man claimed that his cat was downloading child pornography on his computer.

Keith R. Griffin, of the 3600 block of Northeast Jeannette Drive, was charged Wednesday with 10 counts of possession of child pornography after detectives found more than 1,000 child pornographic images on his computer, according to a news release.

Griffin told detectives he would leave his computer on and his cat would jump on the keyboard.

When he returned, there would be strange material downloaded, the release states.

Griffin was being held in the Martin County Jail in lieu of $250,000 bail.

Keyboard Cat is up to no good.

Let's assume the cat could actually do this accidentally. What does one say in that instance? I think it might be funny to hear a guy say "MITTENS!" in a very shocked and exasperated manner, throwing his arms up in the air and dropping the cake he was holding.
 
Now, if they were kittie porn, it would be believable.

I know people have used the "dog ate my homework" excuse before, though the "cat downloaded my kiddie porn 1000 times" doesn't seem to be quite as usable.

If the cat can download kiddie porn to the guy's PC, I'm betting he should talk with Ripley's Believe It Or Not, since I've heard they have a "mysteriously appearing porn" division working on this exact type of issue.

Oddly enough, I think this article was something I'd expect Guile to be posting, since he does seem to have a knack to find the odd stories out there on the Internet.
