Half Price NIS America Titles (DD Only!)
i really wish this was 5 bucks cheaper...Disgaea: Afternoon of Darkness - $14.99
Yeah, me too, but in the end I bit on Disgaea, since I only have it on PS2 and less than $15 was still pretty good.
Mana Khemia is a port of the PS2 version correct? What's different between the two versions? Is the PSP version an "upgraded" version like Disgaea?
No the UMD port of Mana was terrible with horrific loading times. Someone in the thread I made in the deals forum said the load times are much better on the digital download, but there are still placeholder loading screens that flash on/off before battles, etc.

So the load screens in the digital copy of the game are almost non-existant on mana khemia? I might have to throw my copy up on goozex and get that version.

I was really thinking the PSP Go was ridiculously overpriced (and yes, it is) but after seeing one today I'm actually thinking it's a pretty nice system. I think I'll just keep my existing PSP though (PSP-2000/Slim) and buy some of these games and wait for the Go to drop in price. I just can't see a bunch of people running out to get it when it costs so much and can't play UMD games. But I have been wrong before.

Crazy theory time: It seems a lot of UMD based games in the past few months have had some crazy big load times. They're doing this on purpose to make (almost put purple instead of purpose) to make people want to go digital only, and support the stupid PSPgo

I don't think anyone would do that on purpose. What games are you referring to? Loading times would hurt a game's review scores.

I have Rock Band Unplugged and Persona and neither of those games have long load times. Mana Khemia was just a poorly done and rushed port, but it seems the digital version is better off.

Is anyone else having trouble getting these games WORKING? I bought Prinny, Blade Dancer, Mana and Badman (already have Disgaea on UMD, and Dragoneer stinks).

Anyway, Prinny finished downloading, so I did the "install" thing on my PS3, plugged my PSP into it, hit USB mode, and when I click on the game and it asks "copy to PSP now?" and I say "yes", it then says I need to login under the account that owns the software.

wtf?? I'm logged in under the same account (ONLY account) that I bought it under.

Maybe I'm just crabby, but this really ticks me off. What am I doing wrong? Is anyone else experiencing this?

Hmmmmm... I did access the Sony Store long ago from my PSP, because I bought and downloaded Flow that way, but I stopped doing that because it was just such a hassle to log in. I'm not sure what it's set to, but I've never had any other account.

I downloaded demos from my PS3 just fine, but maybe purchased software is another matter. Is there some way I can set my PSP to an account without going on-line?

Come to think of it, I also downloaded PSOne games on my PS3 and then downloaded them to my PSP just fine in the past. I don't get why it won't work now.

Hey, it works now! Apparently I just needed to register my PSP with my PS3 again, I guess due to one of the system updates on either/both systems.

Whew, glad it's fixed. Thank you for the help!!

I apologize for the misunderstanding, I was just messing around when I said crazy theory. But, I know that Dissidia Final Fantasy also suffers from pretty bad load times, and I know there are more games that suffer as well (when I was talking I meant PSP games in general not just NIS games)
playstation blog released the list of titles on sale:

* Blade Dancer: Lineage of Light
* Disgaea: Afternoon of Darkness
* Dragoneer?s Aria
* Holy Invasion of Privacy, Badman! What Did I Do to Deserve This?
* Mana Khemia: Student Alliance
* Prinny: Can I Really Be the Hero?
are this one still going to be on sale still

Generation of Chaos
Spectral Souls
Aedis Eclipse: Generation of Chaos

Those ones aren't available on-line at this time, so they can't be included in the sale.

Lots of games have been including "install" features. Personally, I copy my games to my memory stick. I buy every single one of them (my closet is full of UMDs, DS games, not to mention PS3/2/One and Xbox 360), but I can't handle playing them off the UMD. I bet even Mana Khemia is tolerable off the memory stick. I bought it and am downloading it and hoping for the best.

I was going to say shitty load times I can see more in bad ports or development a decent amount of time. "Gradius Portable" had AWFUL load times in general, switching between games and seemed to suck up the battery life like crack. I must imagine "Salamander Portable" and the others are like that as well.
I think "Breath Of Fire 3" may suffer from the same thing as well, absent battery life.

I gotta ask how installing on your PSP's has affected the battery life. As for a PSP Go? No thanks, it's a waste of money. Smaller screen?! Just no, not worth it to me. If I want to go download I'll just buy some more memory sticks pro duo's and use them.
Isn't the PSP suppose to use another memory stick format even?! The micro right? That one doesn't have a Sandisk Ultra II format which comes with a limited lifetime warranty even. Enjoy wasting your money or worry about it risking crapping out soon.
On the other hand I hate the fact I don't have an Ultra II option from Sandisk in terms of the SD micro given my little Sansa player. I'm using FLAC for all the music on it.
Is there a way to completely copy a game to your stick without a system hack?
Gran Turismo can be completely installed off the UMD. The disc has to stay in the system to play but it speeds up the loading a bit. I imagine that it helps battery life too but I haven't really paid attention to that.

Monster Hunter Freedom Unite has a way to install something on a memory stick. I did it back in August and have since forgotten what it told me it was for.
