Halo 2 "expansion" on the way...maybe...perhaps...possibly...?

No, but he should. Those battles had no payoff. You give me a 3-hour movie, but can't show the good guys winning in the end? It's just a bunch of horses and Gandalf, and we're to assume that turned the tide 180 degrees. They don't even show the main bad guys biting it.

It's probably just the wrestler in me aching for comprehensive storytelling, but I found a lot to be desired about LoTR's battles.

if your aching for comprehensive storytelling, then why are you watching the trilogy instead of reading it? that's where the storytelling is...the stuff on video is a hollywood hack job for the most part.

As far as the dvd is concerned, why not just go in with friends and share the cost for the content. I'm sure some nice CAG will pass a DVD around for others to "use"...i know i will.

I'm not a Halo fan by any means, but people bitching about the game not having an ending is just dumb. Look at the sales and hype that game drew. Do you really think Halo 2 would be the final game? Bungie will probably make several levels focusing on the human/covenant war on Earth rather than jumbling it into one big level.

Well, if they DO release a Halo 2 DVD bonus maps....couldn't you technically buy one disc and "share" it with your friends? I'm sure it would just load the maps on your HD.

The Empire Strikes Back in no way compares to Halo 2. There was much more resolution in that. Halo 2 would be like if Empire ended as soon as everyone got to Lando's place in the clouds.

I'm sorry I said unkind words about a Halo game, I'll go away now.
