Do this. Worked for me.

Goto BensBargains http://www.bensbargains.net/ and on the front page, first item (as I type this), you will see the overstock.com coupon. Click it. It will take you to overstock.com but you won't see any "coupon". Search on halo 2. Add what you want to your cart. If signed in, look at your cart and you will see the discount.

Noticed the link above mentioned welcoming bens bargains shoppers so it could be a redirect referral or sumthin'.
 
Hmm, I'm curious to see if this will work. Let me know if other people have tried it and I may try it soon when I get more $$ since they may charge my card right away.
 
This is BS. It shows -$4 off for coupon and $0 for discount. I tried going through Ben's Bargains and through the other link, no dice.
 
OK, I figured it out. Somehow, there was a $4 coupon as my cookie so I deleted my cookies and now the $10.20 is showing up as a coupon. Well, I guess I'll try preordering it and see what happens.
 
Oh I just hope it arrives just after Nov 9th. I hope the release date isn't pushed back again, or it's ported to Xbox 2. That would suck.

Well all I know is Overstock charges the CC immediatel after the transaction, so I hope I can cancel the order if I find something cheaper later. Overstock has been really good in the past, so I think they'll be good now too.

$42.10 is not bad for the Limited Edition. It's just like my UT2K4 Limited Edition I got for $19.99 when it first came out (from Best Buy).

I hate the way Overstock does this charging the card ahead of time but they've done this for a long time.

Since they have an arrangement with CAG and give us deals.

And even if they didn't, we have no intention of exploiting an unintentional deal. We generally try to keep things above board here. If a site doesn't want us linking to it, we don't link to it. And, no, it isn't a free speech issue.
 
I am trying right now and it looks like they may have fixed it. I see 10% off, not 20. 47 is a good deal for halo 2 limited but it''s too early for me to preorder to save ten bucks or so...
 
Well at least that is one good thing about having the card charged right away, they can't go back later and say you "exploited" something.

It isn't like it was that great of a price without the discount considering you had to buy 6 months ahead of time.

In fact, I had no intention of doing it without the discount, so they would have lost the sale. I had no idea it was an error anyway.
