Halo 3 - General Discussion & Info
Rainbow six vegas already had 4 player co-op so this isn't really that surprising.
I don't see what that has to do with anything?
I don't see what that has to do with anything?
I don't understand his logic either. It's as if he said,"Madden lets you play with 3 other players on your team, so Halo should have 4 player co-op."
my only problem with the add is that the picture is crap. At least have him in action or some sort of close up on the helmet. I like the quote, but the picture is terrible.
I also think that the text is fucking ugly in the ad.

Edit:

Sorry sometimes my humor doesn't translate well to the internet.

Back on topic: Hell fucking yes Halo Co-op. My excitement level now rests at its previously ridiculously high level.
Thanks for ruining a book I haven't read yet. Ass. You'd figure a freaking halo thread would be safe from someone talking about Harry Potter.
And I don't care that you didn't say who he kills, it's bad enough.
Chill out man, I don't even know if its true or not. It is an Internet meme that has been going on forever like Chuck Norris Facts, Rickroll, Star Wars kid, etc.

P.S. Snape kills Megatron.

Dude you serously upset about someone mentioning the name Snape in halo thread o_O.....

Snape,Ron,Harry, Mad eye Moody,Lupin,Bellatrix

there that should get you good and riled up thats just as related to the book as the guys comment you quoted.

Sweet, hopefully the co-op is playable. It sounds like Bungie has put a lot of work into it to make sure it works perfectly.

I got my EGM today with a HUGE write-up of tons of new Halo 3 info.

I just flipped thorugh it and read the tid-bit on the Gravity Hammer.

After that I'm thinking... maybe I don't want to know anything more about Halo 3 until it ships and I can discover all this cool stuff myself.
Not a great ad.

Seems like they're going to kill of MC at the end of H3.
That would be SOOOOOOO awesome. Another reason why I want to hear NOTHING about the game.

I will also have to buy this day one to avoid spoilers.

4 player co-op?? woot! This def makes up for UT3 being pushed back since i was looking forward to some 4 player co-op action this fall.

Was at GS just now pre-ordering the Bioshock LE, and when I asked about the Halo 3 console, the clerk mentioned that they are expecting some kind of official marketing junk from both Microsoft and Sony next week sometime. Probably Wednesday. Nothing on pre-orders per se, but it could result in SKUs and such being added to the GS systems, if it's about hardware.

Anyway, I've been itching to pre-order the Halo 3 console (provided it's a Falcon), and a Slim PSP, so here's hoping...

What do you mean? They think they're receiving freebies to give out to preorders?
I wonder if this means we could see downloadable campaign levels?
I always hope for single player downloads for FPS's

Bungie and MS are going crazy with promos.....come on now...soda :shame:

Oh no. Honestly, he didn't know, but he believed it was standees and flyers probably advertising the new hardware.

Take it with a grain of salt, but I'll be following up next week for sure.
New characters are ugly as shit. I'd rather be a member of a Spartan Squadron, each with unique markings, of course.
I'm actually kinda shocked that they didn't have 2 humans and 2 covenants...would have made more sense.
still surprised they havent officially shown their ace up their sleeve for the game like Linkin showed: Forge
I'd hope they'd talk about it in this months EGM, which I still haven't recieved. :bomb:
It wouldn't have made sense, story wise. Master Chief is the last/only spartan.
Not necessarily. In the games the player is told he is. But if you read all the Halo fiction, books, graphic novel most notably, there are at least 3 or 4 more. It's been awhile since I've read the books so I don't remember the names. The only one I remember is alive for sure is Linda.

And in the new EGM, they do indeed talk about Forge.

I've heard about the other spartans, never read any of the books.

My guess, you find them or at least some of them towards the end of the game. (Starry Night trailer)

It still wouldn't make sense, epic storywise, to have them available at the begining of the game.

But, I personally would like for everyone to have a spartan character model (since on H1/H2 co-op both players were MC anyways). I never cared for the Elite models.

Hey, this image was leaked today, and shows some nice Halo 3 ingame footage, graphics look really good:

LinkinPrime edit: Replaced Image with Zewone's thumbnailed one.

Looks like your image didn't come through...Link?
Looks like your image didn't come through...Link?
Zewones reupload should work.

Well... there are those guys from the trailer that has something like Spartan armor. They could just be upgraded helljumpers, but part of me thinks they'll have shields courtesy of Elite technology.

Perhaps Bungie still has one big surprise in that you'll be able to select between one of these now Spartan-like humans, or an elite. However player one and two must be Master Chief and the Arbiter. They could be withholding info about these new human troops as part of the story.
Playing that close can't be good your eyes. As nice as that TV and the images it was displaying was...
Your mom tell you that?

Using you eyes for any length of time does not make them weaker. You may get tired and may even get a headache with long reading hours, but these symptoms have nothing to do with eyes getting weaker. Sitting closer than necessary to the television may give you a headache, but it will not damage your vision. Modern TVs do not emit harmful radiation, so eye damage due to radiation is also not an issue. As with sitting too close to the television, you may get a headache from reading in the dark, but it will not weaken your sight.

Do you believe everything on the internet? Im guessing 15 years from now that studies will prove that TVs and computers lead to vision loss.

I couldn't let this one go. A webpage from a respected University is hardly a random internet webpage. I'd take their word based on 150 years of experience and research over your "guess" in a heartbeat. Please don't dumb up any more threads with this crap.

LOL. I tell my nephew that, " Don't play to close to the TV or it will ruin your eyes". :D
Your mom tell you that?http://www.agingeye.net/visionbasics/visionmyths.php
Actually, yes!

But if you read around, there's no definitive study on the effects of modern eye behavior (i.e. sitting too close to TVs or computer screens) on myopia, which is a problem.

Anyway, eye fatigue and headaches aren't cool, no matter how you spin it.

not sure when the "game fuel" was supposed to come out, but we got a crate of it in at work today. (24 bottles) It is pretty good, tastes just like the red and orange mixed to me.
