Halo 3 - General Discussion & Info
A map editor, but it's so much more than that. You should read the new EGM for a detailed description of why it will kick so much ass.
Read it, thanks for the heads up. Shit sounds great.
There isn't going to be clan support on the release date but I heard that microsoft will add clan support to live.
Where did you hear this? That's highly unlikely.
the Halo 3 mountain dew is amazing
I first tried it when it was still warm and didn't love it but thought it was decent.

But then I threw it in the fridge for an hour and came back and .

I bought 2 12 packs and 4 2 liters of the Halo 3 Mountain Dew and I'm still going to buy more. My buddy and I cleaned out a Albertson's today. If they had more I was willing to spend $100 on the sweet drinks.

moments like this, it's best to just forget about halo 3. so when it DOES roll around, you'll be pleasantly suprised instead of waiting in agony ;)

The man speaks truth. This was confirmed on the last Bungie podcast from 8/10.

They essentially said Halo 2's clan system was just a second friends list and you didn't have much functionality.

BUT they did say that Major Nelson was talking about a dashboard update with a new blade just for Clans. They expect it to come to fruition, but right now it's a trumor. (possibly true rumor)
see dont doubt people if you havent done any reasearch on what their talking about.
It would help if you used your shift key once in a while.
Ok. I didnt think I was here to get a grammar lesson but thanks. I guess.
Okay, by that logic I can type like this:

OMG liek yuo tinhk dis geam is gnnoa b tgiht rite?

Info on the Flamethrower and Firebomb:

flamethrower.jpg

Description:
The M7057/DP is a standard chemical flamethrower, which projects and ignites a stream of a volatile, semi-liquid fuel. Flamethrowers are cumbersome and relatively difficult to use (psychologically as well as mechanically).
Observations:
Referring to the M7057/DP as a weapon[1] is a bit of a misnomer as the dee pea in its nomenclature indicate that it is a defoliant projector—to be used to rapidly clear away heavy foliage for in-theater construction projects and to destroy new or persistent growth from emplaced and/or hardened military assets. That having been said; despite being all but obsolete militarily its effectiveness as a psychological weapon is undeniable—unfortunately the psychological effect is a double-edged sword.

firebomb.jpg

Description:
The type-3 incendiary grenade is used to destroy materiel. The filler of the type-3 AP/AM grenade burns for 4.5 seconds and can damage, immobilize, or destroy vehicles, weapon systems, or munitions. It can also be used to temporarily block enemy movement through restrictive areas. It has acquired the monikers “Molotov” and “firebomb”.
Observations:
The type-3 incendiary grenade can be thrown 10 meters by the average soldier. The casing of the device is converted to a molten state, which burns at approximately 2200 °C. It must be noted that looking directly at the incendiary grenade as it burns; the intensity of the light is potentially hazardous to the retina.
Those weapons make me wonder how destroyable the environment is going to be in the campaign.
Probably not very. None of the published previews have said anything about how the environment is destructible. I'm sure it is to a certain degree, but not notable enough to be a feature.

God, I'm on the fence on whether I should pre-order the Collector's Edition for $55.98 on Family Video after coupon. It is a great deal but that will drain me of most of my money.

Decisions decisions... :D

since preorders have eclipsed 1mil. does anybody think this will be hard to just walk into a retailer and pick up on launch day?
