Halo 3 Legendary Edition - $30 - Best Buy YMMV

Found a stack of Halo 3 Legendary Edition's at one of my local BB's today. They were reduced to 30 bucks each. At that price, I had to snag one. Since this is YMMV, I don't know if it is worth its own thread, but it may be wise to check out your local BB if you're close to one.

Mine is in West Des Moines, IA, at the one by Jordan Creek Towncenter. There were about 6-8 left. The manager even came up and talked to me about what a steal it was, but she had to get rid of them as they hadn't been selling otherwise. I guess their sales have increased x10 on it since she dropped the price. :D

I would say they are probably right; at the clearance I went to game was on a table at the front of the store and could not have been more noticeable. However i believe all these require a manual override by a manager as they are "manager's specials", so an oblivious employee might get the price at 79.99 if they just look it up in the computer.

Nope, they knew. It just took an override. I can't remember what it originally rang up for. Might have been 80 bucks.
 
Last time I checked, which was a few weeks ago, the Columbia, MD Best Buy was selling Legendary for $70 with the game guide for free. I hope the Columbia or Arundel Mills one drops soon. There's stacks of them with some in decent condition.

Of course, if anybody wants to sell me the helmet for $20, that would work too ;)

i think shipping on the helmet alone is $20.
 
I just went to the BB in question, in Tenleytown, DC.

They had 8-9 of these stacked on or under a table, going for $69.99! Awesome deal!

So the lady was wrong, she said they were $79.99 but they were really going for $69.99.

What a rip.
 
I've seen them at my local BB but really doubt those managers would drop them in price... they hate doing that sort of stuff. I'll keep a look out though.
