Halo 3 Reservable at EB/GS tomorrow (Nov.1)

call them they will give you specfic information on the helmet...this is directly from gamestop they got the notice from microsoft so idk

The guy at Gamestop, who tried to get me to preorder Halo 3, told me that the Phantasy Star Universe beta lasted 2 hours and a Gears of War demo is coming out this Friday.

Don't believe everything you hear from minimum wage employees.
 
Can you move your pre-order from one store to another?

The only reason why I'm asking is because since I go to school in a different city than I live in, it's hard for me to pre-order the LE. I don't want to pre-order the game here only to find out the release date is during a period of time in which I'm back home.

Done. Actually I went into the store where they had just printed up the e-mail that had the dimensions of the helmet AND the details of the contents of the 4 discs in the Collectors and Legendary editions:

Disc 1 - Halo 3 (the game)

Disc 2 - Behind the Scenes at Bungie Studios (basically a bunch of "making-of" type features)

Disc 3 - Hi-Res cinematics from Halo 1 & 2 with director commentary

Disc 4 - Community Content: "Red vs Blue", "This Spartan Life", Exclusive Gamer Tiles & a Theme

Helmet Dimensions:
H - 10"
W - 8.5"
D - 11.5"
Made of High-Impact Polystyrene - Similar to that of a motorcycle helmet

So it's obviously not a full size helmet. That last line is probably where a lot of the confusion came from for employees that thought it was a motorcycle helmet.

FYI - I got this info from a print of an e-mail that a store employee showed me because he sees me in there so often. I didn't want to ask for a copy of it but I jotted down the details on a scrap paper... so it's not worded exactly as it was in the e-mail but the important info is there.

Well I think I came up with a solution to our problem. Well maybe mine moreso than yours. I think I'm just going to put down X amount of money on 2 pre-orders. I'll pre-order one here, and pre-order another copy back home. Once the real release date gets announced, I can cancel one of them.

Question, can you cancel pre-orders via phone?

you can, but its a little bit of extra work, so if you might get an employee that doesnt know how, but assuming you get one that know what they are doing, then you can

Man you cant walk into GS/EB without hearing about this now.

Like some others I'll walk into walmart on day 1 and get a copy. When I worked there when Halo 2 dropped, I could've built a fucking fort out of all the copies we had.

Now if only that helmet was full size with built in mic...
 
As long as you get all the discs with it, Collector's Edition for me. The helmet seems useless, it would just sit here gathering dust.
