Halo 3 Trailer on Bungie.net
It's something called HYPE. Companies want people to get excited over their product. I certainly am over halo 3
I'm excited that they are making another Halo but the trailer didnt excite me at all. Let's hope they don't hype 3 as much as 2 and then make it turn out to a dissapointment. Even though you know the hype for this game will be ridiculous.

On bungie.net, there's a new FAQ on Halo 3. An interesting one I read was this:

Q. Is this the last ever Halo game?

A. It is the conclusion to this story arc.

Interesting how it says "This" and not "the Halo". For major fans of the game, we know that the Halo universe is pretty damn big and the developers have a lot of material to work with if they wanted to create another Halo game.

They'll never abandon the Master Chief character and the franchise they've created. They just won't call it "Halo".

You could be right already. If anyone's read about the Marathon games or played them, you'll notice a whole lot of similarities. I'm not going to go in-depth on them here, but there's a lot of speculation as to whether or not you're actually the same character (The chief) but in a different timeline, or universe. In both Halo and Marathon, the main character is an enchaned cyborg soldier who wears MJOLNIR armor. In Marathon I believe it was MJOLNIR Mark IV armor, while in Halo 1 its MARK V and Halo 2 it is MARK VI.
