The highways around here are a little odd, since the four major ones, I-64, I-55, I-70 and I-44 all end up in downtown St. Louis and they go all their separate ways.

The way that Google put up there is a little more "direct" as it calls it, as I-270 isn't a "major" highway since it starts around 18 miles on I-70 from St. Louis in IL, and runs east-west as a bypass to I-70, then turns north-south near to I-70 west of St. Louis.

Look at a map, you'll see what I'm talking about. When you're more sober, of course. :D

Bascially, you're going through St. Louis without any real issue, though you have no excuse to say hello or do lunch. :D
what is this "sober" of which you speak?

*edit* and i'll be needing to eat and walk the dog every several hours or so.
Speaking of which, I'm closing in on 26k.
I only got 20k posts to make before I get to that point.... so I better start really post whoring. ;)
Federer's defeat was incredible. If you managed to see it (it wasn't on TV, I had to watch it through some lowprofile livestream), Fed was playing like trash. It was interesting.
No, I didn't get to see it, but I would've liked to.

As for posts, I'm closing in on... uh... 5000. :]

Stop on the border between IN and IL, and you'll need to stop in St. Louis a few hours later.
Thank you.

Do you NOT see what I am doing yet? ;)
i don't get it. what are you doing?
Stop on the border between IN and IL, and you'll need to stop in St. Louis a few hours later.
Or she could wear diapers.
let us know waht they say
They were quite nice and they were easily willing to do the exchange.
Like I said I've never had any issues exchanging a "full screen" for a Widescreen edition. Technically its still the same movie you are buying. So you should not have any issues at all doing that exchange.
True, but I've never really had this easy of a time dealing with the CS that CC has. The last time I needed to do an exchange, which was earlier this week with my Boondocks DVD not working properly, the lady working there ended up refunding my money, having me get another copy, then adjusting the price to what I paid before, and then letting me pay for it once again. :whistle2:s

This time the guy just let me get a WS version did a little scanning, gave me the new receipt, and that was it.
Stop on the border between IN and IL, and you'll need to stop in St. Louis a few hours later.
i was planning on making it from here to Indianapolis where i'd spend the night, then from there, head to Oklahoma City or Amarillo, Texas (depending on if i can make the extra 3 hours or not)
i don't get it. what are you doing?
Keeping the pace of the posts going well so we can get this OTT to 500 in no time.
Stop on the border between IN and IL, and you'll need to stop in St. Louis a few hours later.
For some reason I've always seemed to stop in Effingham, IL.

Leaving morning in Indianapolis will put you in St. Louis around lunchtime.

where the fuck is Effingham? and do they have pet-friendly hotels?

Sounds like a bit more worked involved than needed but at least in the end you did get the exchange done. Ultimately that is what matters.

see, that would be perfect;)

I didn't even really start posting much here until after a good six to eight months after joining. I found out about CAG through word of mouth. Glad I found CAG too. :D
where the fuck is Effingham? and do they have pet-friendly hotels?
Effingham, IL is about 90 miles from downtown St. Louis, in IL.
see, that would be perfect;)
Always thought I had good timing. ;)
where the fuck is Effingham? and do they have pet-friendly hotels?
It's not far from St. Louis. Well, how could it be, really.

I don't really remember the hotels, and I've never had a pet with me.

I have an interesting story involving Effingham IL, a flat tire, and a bunch of spare parts around 3AM at a truck stop. But I don't really want to type it all out.

you can call-in and tell it on DemoRadio
That's you coming west on I-70, you get to downtown St. Louis, hit onto I-55 to bypass the city, and get onto I-44 heading west through MO. You'd miss the KC area by a wide margin with that route.

Alternate option would be I-70 west to I-270 south to I-44 west, which works as well, though it's less of a "bypass" as Mapquest tosses it out there. Or Google Maps. ;)
I know I went through Columbus, then through Indianapolis, the southern tip of Illinois, then through St. Louis, and then stopped in Rolla for the night. The next day I went through Oklahoma (nearly got lost on their confusing turnpike), through the top part of Texas (zzzzzzzz boring as fuck), and stopped somewhere near the New Mexico/Texas border. The final day I drove through Albuquerque (god awful city) and then into Arizona and over to Tempe FTW. It was interesting drive to say the least.
Shouldn't you be the one with that information? :whistle2:?
you'd think so, wouldn't you?:joystick:

Maybe one day when I do the live special then I'll have a few calls ins for people who want to tell some funny stories. But until then.... its all taped to Memorex.

Effingham is also where I think I-72 or I-74 starts heading north to Champaign-Urbana where U of I is at. At least, I think so. :whistle2:s

From what I remember about what's around there, there's truck stop spots out there, so there may be some pet-friendly places out that way.

That's one for another time on that story. :D

Yep, you ended up on I-44 heading west if you ended up in Rolla.

Dude, your show has been due out for like 2465 months. And every time there's a date, you say your voice sucks and it gets delayed.

Baby steps. One tiny step at a time. Don't plan for show 3. It isn't here yet.

Edit: So St. Patty's day is officially over in 3.5 hours. We have 3.5 hours to make like 300 posts.

We can do this.

I started from Canton, Ohio, so it wasn't too far off from Columbus. I got my planned route from AAA, so they gave me some maps and stuff to help out.
I insist that you do now. Sounds rather interesting.
Well I can try to be succinct. Actually very much so. Not counting this part. ;)

Basically I was on the way back from Columbus OH with a friend (we were picking up a car). The car came along with a trailer full of spare parts as this was an older car. Long story short, the trailer got a flat, and as it was 3AM we just ended up moving as many of the parts into our trunks and dumping the rest next to the dumpster of the truck stop (including a fucking door).

Oh, and there was a greyhound (or something) bus full of people watching us in what I imagine was awe.

It really seemed much more interesting at the time.
you can call-in and tell it on DemoRadio

Actually I got a good chunk of show 2 done plus I got show 3 in the planning stages. I'm not going to force rush myself into recording the whole show at once like I did with show 1 (which is going to be remixed at some point).
What's that? There's a carbomb in the kitchen? And it has my name on it?
