So I finally got to play Resistance 2 with my bro, and to our surprise there is no split screen campaign mode like the first game. I'm gonna return it.

This is what I'm looking for. The game Resistance 1 had 2-player split screen offline campaign mode. Does Call of Duty:WaW have that?
Ah. No, 32" is good. I really only wanted to pay $400 but the extra $50 saves me BF horror. I might have to do BF, though, if they don't get the Olevia back in stock. I hope they do.

I got game only AC, lilboo.
Are you sure? I mean, look at the value. After tax, you're paying $486 at Target for a 32" with 720p. With Buy, there's no tax, plus the 5% off, you're paying around $523. So, for $37 more, you get five inches and 1080p.

Dang, I forgot how much of a grind the last 10 levels are. I also forgot that they upped it to 65 so I have twice that left. :0)

it's munch's and manthing's fault i have 3 copies. :p

I remember munch saying he was looking for SA at HWV for trades and manthing's spreadsheet had it trading for 11.75+40%... I could swear I've seen it on sale there used too... so what the fuck? What about the platinum hits version? That had to be after the recall, right?

I think I might keep one of the platinum hits copies, since it's almost mint -- just not sure what to do with the other 2, though I think I can return them to HWV if the other 2 gamestops won't take them for a refund. :\
Like previously mentioned, Olevia is bankrupt. Get an in-store warranty.
And like I said, they're still honoring warranties.

#-oWhy would you spend $60 without doing an ounce of research?

The back of the box says 2-players, I'd assumed it would have it like the first game.

I got it yesterday used, so I can still return it. I'm waiting on someone to answer my question so I can return it and get Call of Duty.
...Where is this 5% buy.com coupon?
Trakkan might be able to help you with that. He said it's somewhere over in the slick deals forums.

You made an ass out of yourself and your brother then.

Research brings up this: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Call_of_Duty:_World_at_War#Co-op and http://www.gamestop.com/Catalog/ProductDetails.aspx?product_id=71812

At first mine wouldn't take it; they would only take the PH version, or GH for the PS2. I've traded it in a total of 3 times.

Hrm. We have digital cable but it's not in my room. Will coaxial tv cables still work with this DTV shit going on in February? IF not, I'd have to get a cable box anyway, so that wouldn't matter that it's a monitor.

I'd say go for it. The only reason why I don't like that TV is the single HDMI input. If it had 2 I would have ordered it a few days ago.

And does Moviestop take Gamestop credit?

I'm not 100%, but I'm pretty sure the DTV thing only applies to over the air signals.

This is right, and it works well. I went from 4 channels to about 10 this morning.

I can't believe that Donovan McNabb, an NFL quarterback, did not realize that NFL games can end in a tie. He made that statement in his post game press conference. "I didn't know NFL games can end in a tie? What happens in a playoff game or the Superbowl?"

He'll never live that down. He's a laughingstock inPhilly right now.

Munch, no luck with Sixaxis today...I saw them at the Best Buy near my work...I'll have to stop in tomorrow and see if they still have some.

If they don't have them, it's cool. I imagine GS would have some used, right? As long as that one works I'll just return the one that's broke.

So if I buy that monitor and got a digital cable box, I'd stick the coaxial cable into the digital cable box, connect that to the TV, and I'd be able to receive the signal? If that's the only difference between TV and Monitor, that's fine, since I've wanted digital cable for a while anyway and I'd only have to pay the $6/month or whatever it is to rent the shit since we already have the service.
Yeah Rocko, so unless you're using rabbit ears, I wouldn't worry about it.
What are you talking about? If he just has basic cable then he is fucked. He would either need a box in his room or he wouldn't have any TV. That TV has no tuner. He needs some sort of tuner to watch television.

DTV does only refer to OTA signals, and having cable negates the need for a DTV converter. That isn't relevant though since the TV they are telling you to buy has no tuner.

If you buy this TV you have 3 solutions:

Get a cable box
Watch Television in another room
Buy a TV tuner card for your PC and hook that up to the monitor

If you get a digital cable box you'd hook it up with component or HDMI, not a coaxial cable.

If this is your biggest worry, and you're getting digital cable, then I'd say grab that TV. It has VGA, right? So you could use VGA with your xbox and HDMI with digital cable.

The coax runs into the box and then you would either hook it up via HDMI or component.
Frost, give me one of your GTA:SA's for like $3.
I get 4.32 back if I return it, I think. Paypal me five bucks and I'll ship you the better one of the two that I'm still trying to trade in. (complete platinum hits retail case, minor scratches on disc, manual has bent pages... the other is 'second edition', disc/rental case, no manual.)

Alright, I'd be good then. I could hook the cable up with HDMI and all of my consoles and DVD player with a component switcher I bought a little while ago.

Yeah, I don't have cable, I use rabbit ears. I thought it was just for over the air.

So yes, he'd need a box, but like he said, he would need one anyway.
