Hardest Character to use in a Fighter?
Yeah, Wolf and Jeffery. They're both grabby characters, but their grabs do a ton of damage. I think Jeffery is harder to use than Wolf. Wolfs "Big spin move is pretty easy to do, and it takes off like 35% of your life.

I still think either Seth and Angel from KOF are the hardest to use.
Yup, those were the two that I was thinking of. Wolf suprisingly for a grappler isn't too bad. His moves seem much more responsive to the input that you do. Jeffrey I can never get used too.
in mortal kombat: deadly alliance, drahmin kind of sucks. no combos or anything much to speak of.
Yeah he sucked ass. I think the best players in DA are Frost, Raiden, and Cyrax(just cause I can kick ass with him).

Frost is my favorite, and her impale is the icing on the cake.

My nephew used to sit there in awe when I'd pull of her 12 hit combo, or pull of a 14-15 hit combo with Scorpion. I love Frost, but I think the person with the sickest fatality is Cyrax. That one blew my mind.
I would have to say Gen-Fu from DOA.
Gen-Fu is great though, if you are patient and wise.

I usually play as Brad or Helena. Basically because noone can hit me.

And is it me, or is DOA3 REALLY easy on Very Hard? Because I can breeze throught it in less than 5 minutes. Hell less than 3 minutes.

Oh I forgot a big one...

King from the Tekken series. All those damn linking throws get me every time. I guess if I put more time into learning him I'd be better. I love watching a good King player though.

I use Ayane myself. The only thing that ever gave me any sort of problem in DOA3 is the very last fight, because of the fucked up camera angle.

I was thinking of saying him but I find he isn't too hard or complicated. I very good with him. I can do his super hold linking combo (don't know it's name can tell you the button combination but it would take too long to type.) really it's just some memorization with some timing involved if once you finish the combo you want him to lift up the other character and spin him around and through him. He's pretty good.

Ayane is one quick chick. My nephew saw her fight and said holy shit when I pulled off her little spinning oduble punh into a roundhouse kick (P+K, P+K, K)

Oh and Ein is hard to use, but he is good if you know what you are doing.
Agreed, the last fight in DOA3 is garbage.
Yeah it was.

Shuma Gorath is the SHIZ NITE! Seriously, I used to be a beast with him in MVC 2 back in my first couple years here at college.

In Tekken I would say Steve. He's got no kick and no reach. But up close he's a monster. Very hard to use. Also the Jacks. Full of power but easy to see slow moves.

I never had to much trouble with King. Only because he's been around since the first one and I've used him every year. He's all about memorizing button combos. When they add new characters with totally diffrent styles, it gets kinda hard.
I know this sounds retatad But i hate that wooden F*****R from tekken 3, Changing move sets sucks hot hairy beaver nads
That's Mokujin. He's cool only if you're an expert at the game and know every character fairly well. I used him alot in Tekken Tag. I'm not to keen on his character desgin, but his ending in Tekken 3 was the funniest ending ever!

Steve isn't hard to use, he's one of the easiest characters to pick up in Tekken 4.

I agree that the Jacks are hard characters to use though.

The shape-shifter in SC II of course.
And any character in Clayfighter since the controlls totally suck.
Also, Ivy from SCII. I wish I would take some time out of my day to get good at that game.
super smash:

fox - He moves so fast, and his moves require a lot of precision and quick fingers.
In the first SSB fox is a freaking powerhouse. Using him requires keeping your eye open and being able to kickass with the shield, but you can't just use it when people will expect it. You have to convince people that your attention is elsewhere. That and his up smash attack is very, very powerful.

I can't use SSBM fox though. The shield physics just don't feel right to me.
Anybody with those stupid 360 grab moves or anyone that has to charge before attacking (Guile, M. Bison, etc.).

The fast paced game play makes charge moves obsolete, and secondly the computer can execute them without having to do the 2+ second charge. In some cases I have seen the computer actually walk forward before doing a charge move.
Depending on the characters& Move charge moves have strong potential since also depending on the game...they can be held while blocking, jumping, attacking etc.

You wanna see a cheap fighting game? Try Snk Chaos on Xbox survival mode and try and unlock the last two characters. I wrote a review in the reviews section. Basically doesn't follow the 2 sec rule for charges and can do lvl 3 supers without the bar.

As far as some hard to use crap characters... my vote goes to the SSF2 incarnation of T-Hawk which I believe was also ranked last on the good-worst characters. For 93-94? Been awhile.

Also during that year I remember a guy getting 3rd place in the capcom finals using zangief. He would a combo of a standing jab+grab

Your right. Come to think of it Steve's not that hard to use. Maybe I was thinking alittle of Brad from Virtua Fighter 4. Steve's got that unlimited gut punch combo that can get annoying. But he is really fun to use.

Not sure if any of you remember that one fighting game that came out for Genesis and SNES. The special moves in Weapon Lords are extremely hard to pull because it doesn't use the conventional 'quarter circle' or 'half circle' or 'back then forward' control scheme.

i don't remember that game, but it reminds of me that piece of shit game "battle blaze" too.

sammy, how far you've come...

Speaking of POS fighters: anyone remember "Time Killers" on Genesis? Second only to Rise 2 in my book of worst fighting games.

I suck with him. He's just too clunky for me.

I can't believe no one mentioned (at least I didn't see any posts mentioning him) Dan? He has got to be hands down the most garbage character ever. I admit I don't play a lot of fighters, but out of everything I've played he is the worst.

I use Dan all the time, just to piss my friends off. They know he sucks. He just the as Ryu and Ken except you got be close. Just be fast.

I agree with Theeternal, T-Hawk is just crap.

He doesn't do enough damage and he's too big.

His regular moves are useless and just leave him open to get his ass kicked.

On top of that his normal standing animation is really lame with his hands up around his chest.

SAIYUKI!

If you can kick ass w/ Dan, then you're a fighting god since he's one of the biggest, if not biggest, POS fighter evah!

Someone mentioned earlier War Gods and all I have to say is hahahahahah. Kind of a fun game but all the characters mostly suck.

ANybody ever play Mace the Dark Age. man I loved that game. You have some pretty tough characters in there though to use like Lord Demos (I believe that was his name).

You gotta be kidding me, nobody played Mace the Dark Age? I believe it came from either Ed Boon or the other guy that went to Microsoft to create Tao Feng (can't think of name). Now that game had real fatalities IMO, not the sort of cartoony ones in this MK and the last (don't think i hate MK because I love the series, very fun and enjoyable for a new person to it but al;so takes some time to master.)

The topic wa intended for "Hard to Use Characters." Not crappy fighters with useless moves like Dan and T-Hawk.
