Help! I Need New Rock Band Drum Sticks? Where Can I Get Them?

You can get them at any music store. They are just standard drumstick. You can get a basic set for about 5-10 bucks a pair.

Wow that Gamestop package is the most expensive thing ever AND they don't tell you what you're getting.

Do not buy Rock Band brand drum sticks. I hate how big and heavy they are. The sticks that come with the game damage the drum pads much more than normal drum sticks you can buy. I forgot exactly the type I picked up from Guitar Center (I think Zildjian 7something), but those are way lighter and they don't really make dents in the pads like my old Rock Band drumsticks did.

Less than 2 bucks a pair, so I bought 3 pairs. However I have a friend who works there, so I got a discount.

I've seen it in store. It is a pair of black drum sticks, a strap for the guitar and a decal for the guitar. Yeah, it's expensive as I said.

Yes, I went to Guitar Center and told them it was for Rock Band... don't remember what sticks they recommended, but they were cheap and WAY better than the official sticks.

Also, don't get the cheapies at Target or Toys R Us. I learned the hard way. They broke pretty quickly (as did the sticks that came with RB).

Cool. I'll check it out. BTW, LOVE! ur pic in the sig

Guitar Center or Sam Ash is your friend - they regularly have big sales on bundles ($10-15 for a dozen or so).

Definitely go to your local music store and pick some sticks up and see what you like. They will be cheaper and you can choose from more than one thing. If you don't care what you get, buy the cheapest grab bag pair they have and read no further. If you want to change the type of stick you play and maybe improve your drumming read on:

The OEM Rock Band sticks are alright but probably too long for most people who have never drummed before. I like a little shorter stick this gives me good control. There are three diameters for sticks: 7, 5 and 3, 7 is the biggest; there are three letter designations: S for street (marching band), B for band (concert band, rock band) and A for orchestra (no one know why). But I use B's because that is what I was taught with. There are tons of tip options in both shape and material, I like medium size round tips for Rock Band they give a sharp tone and allow me to play softer to hopefully elongate the drums lives.

I'm kind of just wondering why the OP is pretty much ignoring everyone who recommends using a regular set of drumsticks. You seem to only be replying to people who post links to some more expensive drum sticks when you can just go to Guitar Center/Local music store and get a pair for less than $2 that probably work better than the ones that came with the game. Don't mean anything by it, but it's just making me curious.
Need drumsticks? Try KFC, you can get a bucket of them for like $7 :applause:
Fail.

Sorry, didn't mean to ignore them :). I actually think it's a good idea, and since almost EVERYONE said it, i guess i have no other choice but to take a look. Thanks to everyone.

I got a nice pair of Zildjian 7's. It wasn't sale time and it was a local place, so I paid about $7.50, but I was on my way to Tahoe for vacation with some friends and NEEEEEEDED the sticks. They have also overseen my metamorphosis from medium drummer to hard/expert drummer :)
