Help save Twinkies.

They aren't closing their doors, they're filing for bankruptcy for restructuring purposes.. they will continue to do business.

Twinkies aren't going away. That particular company is a wholesale baker, which means that they take baking orders for other companies. Believe it or not, Hostess doesn't actually bake all their own products. The do for some of the regional markets, but for other places, rather than start up a baking facility in that area, they have a wholesale baker bake and distribute their products. This saves on the overhead costs and the wholesale bakers have to sign a non-disclosure agreement about the recipes. Twinkies will live on, well after the nuclear wars.
Has anyone seen the episode of Family guy were they are looking for the Twinkie company or storage place.
Hell yeah, Family Guy RULES!

Damn, I've been craving twinkies, ding-dongs, and hostess cup cakes for some time. Ironic realy since yesterday in my history class we went over the changes made in food due to WW2 and this was part of the topic. Did you know that twinkies used to be good for you since they used to have REAL!! bananas in them for the custard/pudding. And then due to the war and the rationing of bananas, they had to find an alternative...well there's your history lesson for today.
