Blockbuster is just like Netflix. They must be holding on to DVDs the they get back and I pretty much have proof. First couple of times I sent back the 3 DVDs on the same day back and they would just get two and never get the third one along with the other two. But the last time I sent all three in the same mailer and they still claim that they only got two and not the third. How is that even possible. Whatever blockbuster.
 
update: did anyone get charged just $10 for the 2nd month? That is all I got charged. Maybe it is a bug. I hope it says that way. :) Completely pays for itself with the free coupons now.

i just cancelled my account i might rejoin in late may but i dont plan on being around much on the weekends in may and dont see a reason to rent when i wouldnt watch them
 
Hey Cheapy, do they still pay you referral commissions if we end up cancelling our trial? Just wanna know before I try this.

They have a warehouse in Flushing. It only took 1 day to get my movies!

hope it keeps up for you. My movies started at 1 day shipping but by the time i cancelled the shipping time was 3 days each way and the shipping center was only around 50 miles away
 
tried for the free year looking for a place that might show what type of plan I have. Doesn't seem to say anything in My Account.
 
Yes, the free year deal is dead...you can still get a free month by reading the first post in this thread.

I signed up Tuesday night, made my list, got my first movie today, even though it said it was going to be here tomorrow. Pretty good. The shipping center is in Stamford, CT. I live right near Hartford.

I signed up last night. it said they shipped them out today and said i would be getting them on monday. i live in stamford, ct. wtf?

I guess they cancelled the year and just gave us 2 months. Instead of saying 5/11/06 for my billing it says 7/11/05.
 
mine says i free month oo well that sux late on this deal. I have the instore membership already where do I go to cancel?
 
they got me .. im now showing july 13 2005 (or 2 free months) cant complain though thats 30 free bucks + 4 free e coupons (2 per month). that will now help me pay my 200 bucks cell phone bill (when did they start charging a month in advanvce for cell phones)
 
Damn... they changed my billing date from 11/16/05 to 7/16/05. Two months free is still better than none, but too bad on getting dropped from my free six months. And here I was hoping that blockbuster wouldn't notice the glitch :)
 
I signed up for the free month. Thanks CAG, I set up my queue on Thursday and got my first 3 movies today. Very impressive. If they have this kind of turnaround always, I will be staying with them.
 
yeah i have been getting them in ond day after shipments for teh most part. They also receieve them within one day.

I dropped a movie off yesterday at 1 pm to a drop box and this morning they emailed me they received it.
 
it usually takes a week turnaround for me (seems to take 2 days to get here and 2 days to go back) still good considering i live in backwater utah.. my dad has a movie pass at the B&M blockbuster so i get a lot of movies heh.
 
anyone who got in during the free year/six month plan should check their billing info. Blockbuster changed my billing date from July to June last week although I'm not sure what to make of it. I was expecting them to start charging $15/month, but they could also be using it as a scare tactic to get people to cancel their plans. it still says that my current plan will stay in effect until november and that I'm going to be charged $0.00 a month so maybe they'll just charge $0.00 until november? I also used a prepaid credit card(with nothing on it) so I'm not sure how they'll try to bill me? I'm ready to cancel but I'm not sure yet, I'd feel like an ass if they didn't charge anything.
 
I couldent find the old thread about the free blockbuster mem ship for one year and 6 months. Everybodies account been downgraded to 1 month free due to it bein an invalid code. Well I called their Customer service, she said they will honor the FREE 6 months, and upgraded my account from 1 month free to 6 months, Next billing NOV 12, 2005 :), give it a try

I was just questioning my account billing cycle which said 6/12 was my next billing cycle, then got an email that said 7/12 I will get billed. I just called to see which is it and she said I see that you signed up under a 6 month FREE member ship. so she said they will honor it cheers
