Looks like Atlus wanted to keep it secret for a while, but Play-Asia revealed spoilers.

It's Poison Pink, localized as Eternal Poison, a darkish SRPG for PS2 from Flight-Plan, makers of Summon Night.

It's coming in November, and includes a soundtrack. Lookin pretty nice:

The important question is, who's the artist? Almost looks like Odin Sphere, but I don't think it can be the same artist.

Odin Sphere's art style is from Vanillasoft's in-house artists. So, indeed, this isn't the same artist.

I really do love the cover art. I hope the game is similarly good.

Atlus has gotta have a good RPG other than SMT once in a while, right?

I really dig the cover art as well, I've always been a sucker for good character art.

However, my interest and hopes for the game are quite low until I see anything that would make me think otherwise.

Hmm, it seems like it might be ok...except for those load time for the attack animations.

It also looks kinda dull, but I'm still not decided (although I'll probably not buy it because I don't/won't have enough time)

Ah, the "Atlus Faithful" can't even tell which games are actually developed by them or not anymore, eh? Maybe it isn't so wise to buy a game due to a name being on the cover.
This was developed by Flight-Plan(Summon Night)

But seriously, I'll be checking this one out. It's been my opinion for a long time, now that the PS2 was over flooded with SRPGs and SD-styled characters. But.. I'm always glad to see when time is taken to create large, realistically proportioned sprites, which this has.

Amazon user reviews when over 50+ start to make sense, outside of the base that gives Mass Effect 2 1/2 stars because of DRM. So I'm going to pass on this one, and hope for a future Persona 5 announcement aka the game I'll buy for PS3 even when I don't have a PS3 yet.

Exactly why I didn't think it was him. His style seems pretty close though.

Looks like they made some terrible choices - attacking someone changes the scene from 3D isometric to a 3D closeup which takes several seconds to load, and you just see someone swinging a sword? If Atlus doesn't speed up the load times considerably, you can count me out of this one.

I mentioned the developer in my original post, dude...it's not exactly a secret.

It's not unique to Eternal Poison. Marvel Ultimate Alliance Special Edition (the Greatest Hits re-release), which included a bonus making-of DVD, had it as well:

Judging by that video it seem like standard srpg. Nothing really exciting that distinguish itself from other srpg. I bet that soundtrack is incomplete like any video game soundtrack-it will be missing a few tracks. I wonder why companies don't go for the full game rip instead?
I'm kinda sold on it just by box art alone...
 I was going to say the same thing. That's some bad ass artwork!

But seriously, I'm no longer blindly buying Atlus games. It seems like these days, they care more about getting anything that's remotely niche released in the states... regardless of quality.

I don't think Atlus necessarily "goes after" every game they release. I wouldn't be surprised if Japanese publishers made deals with Atlus like "OK you can get Summon Knight DS, but only if you also release Poison Pink down the line."

Here's one of the amazon reviews in English:

My impressions after clearing 5 scenarios the other day.

I usually don't play games, but this is the first one I've bought in 2 years.
I bought it after being attracted to the low price and the artwork.
As everyone says, the shortcomings are very glaring.

It's difficult to check the status disorders of individual characters, and being unable to skip dialogue from stages you've already played once is annoying.

Most of the game is pure battle and it gets tiresome. the number of items you can purchase is limited. Calculating the results from overkill techniques is a crapshoot, and you'll never know how much damage will be done until you do it.

Even when I try especially hard to plan an overkill, I'll find myself missing by 10 or 5 points and ending in failure. This has happened so many times that I want to scream.

It's a game that's very unkind to players.
But I played the game thinking of this unkindness as the game's special idiosyncrasy.

Many mention that there's no Free Battle in the game, however I think the game would be finished too quickly if there were one.

Perhaps the game gets interesting the second time around...
The first time is frustrating and tiresome(because of your party being too weak, etc.).
At first I was trying hard to beat it, but I gave up on my first time through.

The art and music are high points, but the game mechanics are broken.
Having my overkill techniques fail me was the most frustrating part.
I can't count how many times I repeated the same stages(if only I could save mid-stage even one time!)
Also, the time limits that let bosses get away after you've been whittling away at them will bring you to tears.

There were a lot of frustrating aspects to the game, but the story had some surprising parts, and it was pretty enjoyable.
So I'd give it 3 stars for being interesting. However, as a complete product I'd give it two stars.

....On the plus side, even if you're strapped for time you can be done with it quickly.

Well, because the soundtracks included with some games are usually more to serve as bonus items. If you're interested in more complete soundtracks, check here:
