Reports are coming in on the IGN 360 board that the new consoles being shipped now do not have the Forza 2/Marvel UA pack-in game so if you're wanting this, you better buy your system now.
 
I can second this after searching for a new 360 for my little brother. Best Buy only had the new "Go Pro" consoles without the games. We lucked into a bundle at a local gamestore with a 175W HDMI Falcon console that included the games. Looks like now is the time to buy before the bundle runs out!

Just like the ps3 w motorstorm, they are now through shipping with free games.

Get em while you can.. my stores still had tons of 360's, ps3's with the free games and movies..
 
I am guessing the new bundles without the games will have a price drop soon. Removing the games sort of justifies a price drop without alienating people who just bought it. I doubt MS would want to lose momentum as PS3 is finally starting to move units.

Not really because the games were a limited time deal. MS didn't lower the price of the 360 after they stopped packaging the 360 remote with the initial shipments.

But I managed to sell my copy of Forza/Marvel for $40 on craigslist :)

$449.99/349.99/279.99 was already the price drop people have been waiting for. Including the two free games was just an easy way to move more units during the holiday and to clear the stock of Zephyr more easily. These new "Go Pro" models (lot 0744+) almost guarantees a November or later manufactured date. I'd take a newly built system over 2 free games anyday. It's not like they are giving you COD4 and Mass Effect.
 
Not a surprise, all told, as we're coming out of the holiday season.

I guess I'll stick to the one I have now, even though it has a loud DVD drive.
 
Yeah, all 360 bundles were sold out at the local Best Buy a few days ago. My buddy had to go to an EB to grab their last 360...no games. Sucks for him.

I might just try that... I already have a copy of forza coming in from the gamepack i won, and Marvel is boring to me.

lolz good news for me, i was actually tempted to buy a go pro without a falcon o.0 Ima just buy a newer modle at Target and get the Falcon =D
 
I don't understand why they would take the games out of these (360 or PS3). The games really cost the cos. next to nothing to include, but help people justify the price. And I would think the cos. need to have even more of an incentive for people to take the plunge and buy the systems after the holidays as they move into a slower selling season. If it's a ploy to move inventory by making the bundles seem "rare" so people snap them up, they could just change the game.
