I was in a local Hollywood video this afternoon. The manager told me about a promotion that apparently is nationwide (according to him). All previously played (used) Gamecube, Playstatio 2, and Xbox games are now 3.99 each.

All preplayed current gen Wii, PS3, 360 are instantly 25% off their marked used price.


Nothing too staggering but he said its been going on since this past weekend and he sold close to 40 games today alone.

I found GrimGrmoire, Grandia 2, Romancing, Saga, Prime 2, and a few other notable games.

lame man, HWV here doesn't seem to know about this deal too. I've been driving around in vein to find a store that honors this -_- so lame. i hope they will know about it soon. I"m going to check often just to be sure.
 
Good idea. That's basically what I did is call around and ask. I found 3 stores now that do it but I'll spend more in gas if they don't have any good games. So all-in-all I'm at a profit of $68 so can't complain too much. Would just be easier if every store honored the sale but didn't have a good selection. Then this way you don't have to deal with ignorant employees.

The store also wanted $39.99 for Guitar Hero 3. Who would pay that? I was doing them a favor. :D
 
You're all pissing me off... all of my stupid HVs have gamecrazys attached to them, so I'm SOL on these deals. I would've went to town on the cube games too. MVC2!? Get out of here.

I know what you mean. I stopped in to mine at lunch looking for R6V2 and it was marked at $49.99 pre-played. The guy was also a total douche when I asked for a price check, and said "what, you don't believe the marked price??" When it rang up at $35.99 I decided to drive farther but get it for $1 cheaper from GS. No wonder I never rent anything there.
 
Picked up a few good games. May flip some of them. It was odd though, I had to look around for a small 8 1/2 x 11 sheet of paper advertising the deal. I went to a local HV and they had most if not all of the games they've had forever, but now with an awesome price.

Awesome deal. I'll probably visit the other one tomorrow to see what I can find.
