For My Game 101 Class I Need A Little Help. Can Any Body Answer This Question: What Programs Are Used To Make/design Videogames ?

Anyway, Maya is the answer -- it's for making 3D models.

I believe Notepad, Pico and Internet Explorer are used very extensively in game development.

I just took such a class, it sucked. There are really a couple of fields of programs. Programming, animation/modeling, sound and misc.

Programming : There are a lot of programs, the common languages are Java, C, C++, Visual Basic and Visual C

3D: Maya, 3DS Max(Iknow they and Maya fused but some companies still use this.)

Those are the important ones.

Companies also use in house programs do make the levels and such. Read your damn book.

On a tangent they used Maya 5 for Ice Age.

And yes their is a class call Game 101 aka Intro to Game Development at IADT.
