Damn... Mirror's Edge is totally sold out in Edmonton. Would have been a good time to finally buy it.

Hell, We Love Golf is almost entirely sold out in Edmonton too--and the mall that's carrying it is too far to bother.

Just picked up lumines 2 and hotel dusk for 96cents each.

They had other games on clearance that were not online as well. The stock numbers online are incorrect as well.

Hotel Dusk used to be on their site for 96 cents but that was months ago. I guess that particular store still had some laying around. Usually when they pull a game from the website it's OOS everywhere. Lucky :cool:
 
Thanks for the updated list, I picked up MadWorld from the one on Queen Street East. The website shows that STC has one in stock, but I went in and they didn't seem to have it.

I got Blitz 2: The League (loved the original arcade game to death) @ $4.96
The Bourne Conspiracy: $14.96
Scene-it: Box Office Smash: $14.96

Grand total of under $40 with taxes. That with my GOTY copy of Fallout 3 and a 1400 pts card for around $95 this week. Not bad. If only I could find those points cards for less than $22.39 (after tax).

Well, at least the downloadable content will be going down over this next week. I'm excited to see what the deals of the day will be.
 
Wow, the Source by my work NEVER seems to have these kind of prices. If fact, they don't usually have anything under $18.

Its funny, on the DAY of Assassin's Creed II release, a guy I work with said he wanted to pick it up that day. So I said, lets check the Source in our plaza for it. He said he'd never thought of going there for games...

Basically, here's how it rolled out;

"Can I help you guys find something?"
"Yeah, do you guys get games on the release days?"
"Um, sometimes, not always. What game are you looking for?"
"Assassin's Creed II"
"Hmm, let me see.. *checks computer* No, we don't have it."
"Ok then, thanks anyway."
"Did you want to pre-order it?"
"Um no, the game comes out TODAY!"

The Source - Very nice, but very dumb.
 
Thank you whoever ransacked my Source store and bought 10 games at once 15 minutes before me, including We Love Golf.

Shame on you for stealing my wife's christmas gift.

I hear you, tried to get Tony Hawk's Project 8 at the Source close to Namur metro station, site said they still had one, got there, super rude clerk asked me what I wanted, and he said "no" as soon as I mentioned Tony Hawk... "Someone just picked it up." :cry: Same thing for the Blitz and Bionicle games I was eying. One person just bought every $1 game before I got there.
 
Mine was at La Prairie, clerk said someone just came 15 min ago and bought all the cheaps games (about 10)

I was left with Patapon 2, I guess the guy didnt have a PSP lol
But the reason why I made the trip was to get my wife a gift :(

Hate to be the bearer of bad news, but that person was me. I must agree though, the clerk was quite rude and was hesitant to even get the games for me. I picked up the 3 you mentioned, but I'm sure I noticed more copies... anyways, the clerk was not helpful in any sense of the word...

The clerk just said "no" to every game I mentioned, he didn't seem to even want to check, and according to the site's stock count, they only had one of each. Anyway, I hope you enjoy these games and don't just trade them off, Bionicle Heroes would have made a great gift for my little brother...

Actually, now that I think about it, I never had much luck at the Source locations on the Montreal island, next time I'll check the suburbs first, less Cheap Ass Gamers there! ;)
 
I've had terrible experiences at The Source. When I bought a TV, the store had the most condescending guy there who was so arrogant. His fellow employee was a strange looking younger guy who just kept staring at me. The next Source I went to was because a friend of mine wanted a digital camera. That store had three employees that stood back and leered at me (I'm serious) like I was wearing a steak around my neck. It was so uncomfortable. Why must their employees be so socially inept?

No way, he just happens to ask for the trade value's of the exact same games that are on sale, just out of curiousity.

Anyways, my stores had nothing left, big surprise! The manager usually tells me, and since I was in the mall earlier and didn't see him in the store, i assumed there was nothing. Oh well, I only had interest in Blitz! im sure a game that old will pop up somewhere for around 5 bucks.

why did fracture disappear from the site.. there were a few copies in a few stores in toronto (1 per store), & the stock checker has the whole country listed

it dropped to $5 from $10 for 1 day & now it's gone, weird

Cheap games randomly get dropped from the website when store stock gets very low.

As stated, they drop items off the site once stock gets real low. Chances are a few stores still have it, so it doesn't hurt to go in and check.

i found a number of 0.96 games at the bottom source at rideau today though they were mostly sports games & junk you wouldn't ordinarily buy if it weren't so cheap. Unfortunately though there were only PS2 & PSP games. The top one had nothing but it did happen to have a PS3 Assassin's Creed LE that i snagged forf $24.96 which I though was pretty good though the plastic seal looks pretty cheep :(

Yeah, most of the time the only $0.96 games are like...MLB 2007 for PS2, but every now and then, there's going to be a good deal, congrats on getting AC CE for that price, I paid more than that for the regular edition when it finally got the GH label!

That sucks, but yeah thanks. I was surprised they had it at all since I frequented that source a couple of times & at no time saw it ever until yesterday & when i got the price checked, I thought "It probably wont be there the next time I go"

Also, noticed they were having a big sale on rogers phones since they are switching to bell (apparently). So I was told by one of the employees that they are going kinda fast right now.

Anything left? I didn't go check because the stock checker said they were both OOS of almost all the $0.96 games... I just want one or two old style 360 cases, don't care about the games. :p
 
Unfortunately I went for the same reasons & no luck on cheap 360 cases. The only thing I found were the PS2 games (w/the no mem card slot cases) & a few psp games.
