Just curious to see how other people settled upon their names.

For me, it's broken up.

pogi = cute/handsome in my language (tagalog)
pinoy = what filipino people call each other
27 = day of birth

hence...pogipinoy27

What about you?

ram = the name of my hamster that is alive still after 12 years

stor = is because i own a liquor store (we do bail bonds too)

ia = is my middle name, its from my great great grandfather who was an inuit.

I used to play an online FPS called tribes a while back. One guy i knew had the sn White, so as a joke i made my name Black. Then white and black reminded me of races so i changed my sn to Cracker, then Cracka. I then used that sn on Tribes for several years, so i decided to use it here too.

"GuilewasNK"

I used the name Guile long ago and I was in a Quake III clan called NK until it died, therefore GuilewasNK.

By the way, Guile rhymes with MILE.

ananag was my highschool computer username. Its the first three letters of my first name and first three letters of my last name. 12 is my birth day. Not sure why I made it 112...

A couple times, yes.

Younger children usually mispronounce my name. When they do, they say "Rig".

People on Xbox Live sometimes ask if I work on oil rigs. I always just tell them I do.

Oh, and I have convinced multiple people on Live that my gamertag is actually my phone number (R-I-G - 9385). It's not, but they usually believe me.

I'm lazy, and instead of using Squall I used my last name, which was also my name in Final Fantasy XI. Carby for life.

This has come up tons of times but I'll play...

While trying to select an AIM screename awhile ago, I pressed a bunch of keys at once and "maklershed" came up. It seemed like a real word so I stuck with it.

I was into the max payne games when i joined and i always thought the fake tv shows in the game were really interesting so i went with Johnmirra. The character from Adress Unknown.
I have a penis, hence the Mr. I'm not original, hence the Unoriginal. Descriptive.
I am more interested in your avatar. :hot:

That's exactly how I got ihadFG, just pressing on the keyboard.

stal- Bitches be stallin at getting their ass whoppin from me

klear- clear with a k cuz the alphabet gets owned by me

64- the number of times I did your mom yesterday

It was my e-mail. Before that, I was randomly sitting around and came up with it one day. It stuck.

Nowadays I go by ZeroThePenguin, or simply Zero.

neverletthem is a shortened version of Neverletthemtakeyoualive, but most sites don't allow that many characters for a name. Tough this name has stuck, and I always enjoy getting asked "Never let them WHAT?!"

Mine is not from a wrestler, a video game character or the chef on Foodnetwork. None of that.

It is a nickname because I hate children and was really thin and tall when the name started. So I'm now average build and I'm not a daddy. :)

I originally came up with the alias in high school, weedy is another word for lanky, yet much less used. I didnt want to be the 1 billionth person walking around being called slim or flaco lol...

Plus people always used to say i looked high....but its just my laid back personality so i felt it fit

64 = Jersey number in freshman football
9 = My jersey number when i played baseball as a kid(and also my favorite number due to that)

Couldn't think of anything. Saw and old dmaul figure I had on my desk at the time. Tacked on my b-day since dmaul was taken.

I had originally selected my irc name: cunt_cochese_

The cochese is from the video for Sabotage. I thought it might not go over too well and I thought the death of Bobby K was riotously funny so I remixed that shit and got cochesecochese.

THE END

I had trouble coming up with an online name. I started off using a variation of my name (back in 2002), then went to gaming characters in 2003. Tried one name in 2004, but since it didn't work out well, I decided I needed a new name.

Knight = favorite character class in an RPG.

I tried various names such as Phantom Knight, but none seemed right. Someone had the screenname, "The Mana" something, and I really liked it. So then I decided to become The Mana Knight. Ever since I used it, things started going pretty well for me online so I stuck to it. Shortly after, I edited the name and most use Mana Knight. For the most part now it goes:

Mana = Big Secret of Mana fan and love many RPGs that have mana in them.
Knight = Still my favorite character class.

If I use "The", mostly because I do like the letter "T" and wanted to use a short word that worked (my first name begins with T).

On an old board I was on we did a big story in parts, and the Syrup Ninja was my character for the story and it stuck. I also enjoy waffles and pancakes. And ninjas.

As a joke we bought some popov (cheap vodka)

That weekend I had a party at my house and got trashed, started taking the popov to the head, calling myself Big Popov. It's stuck ever since.

Very carefully.

I needed a new username, girlfriend came up with it and I thought it sounded interesting. That's it.

I wouldn't mind changing it, maybe even to my gtag name. But I have a lot of sites invested into that name, it would take way too much time and effort to change it.
