How does one become a moderator?

Exactly. That's what I meant by the fact she was "no gimmicks necessary". Fun is fun but sometimes people don't know when to quit. They let their gimmick get the best of them and pretty soon that is all they are known for. That's part of the reason I like people here like epobirs, Rig and Saucy Jack just to name a few (not trying to leave other good folks out). They are just nice, decent people all the time. I can get along with most anyone but it's nice to have down to earth people here too.

Right now, it's very unlikely that you still have a shot.

I'm not sure if it needs to go into the FAQs, though I'll pass the idea along.

Just got back and read through the rest of this thread. (And those OTT's)

NFG may have been a bit fed up with some of the posters on this site when she left, but she told me in a few PM's that she had other things in her life that needed more time spent on them. She was always very nice, and I was sad to see her go. (Plus, she worked at Nintendo...can't beat that!)

There are still a lot of people on here that I enjoy seeing/reading their posts. Of course, if there wasn't, I wouldn't stay on here all the time! (Guile, you definitely come to mind first and foremost.)

The mods we have here do a very good job, and I respect them for doing so.

Though really, it seems like it was localized to the off topic areas for quite a while, as the talk of exploits and return fraud had really tapered off.

Why is everyone referring to bf as 'he'? IIRC, 'he' mentioned in one of the OT forums that 'he' was a 'she'. Did I miss something or did bf get a sex change? :whistle2:s

bostonfrontier, if you were to become a mod, you'd have to deal with people like yourself, which you probably wouldn't want to deal with. In all seriousness, there are far more qualified candidates for moderator.

As far as SneakyPenguin goes, I think he took a break from the site. I'm not sure if he's coming back, but if he does, it won't be as a moderator.

And always remember the CheapyD quote - "Don't call us, we'll call you."

And with that, since Trakan and I both said that people would be contacted about modship, I think we've beat this horse as dead as it can get.
