How much did YOU pay for your PS3?

I bought the 80GB Motorstorm bundle in October 07 for around $225-250 I forget now. I had it wrote down in the box I thought but all I found was the purchase receipt. I bought a Wii one week earlier for around $110-125. Ah how I miss the good ole days of flipping stuff at Gamerush and getting credit for less than $.50 on the dollar.

I remember the kid working freaking out and get exciting as I traded in $100 worth of games then paid with 3 more gift cards covering the $530 actual purchase price. :D

Somewhere around $350 for a 60GB model with CoD4, MGS4, Socom Confrontation + Mic, Socom Combined Assault (PS2), and there might have been one other title.
I'd like to hear that story!!
Bet a friend I could eat a carton of eggs put up my 360 he put up his PS3.

$0 out of pocket, traded in a bunch of stuff at Blockbuster when the values were still good there.

Got a 40 GB for $349.99 plus Tax of course...

200 bucks out of pocket last July for the 40 GB and two or three year protection plan from Amazon. I had 250 in gift certificates from turning in loose change.

$500. I bought at Best Buy around Halloween 2007 when they were giving a free copy of Heavenly Sword or Lair when you bought a PS3. I got the 60GB with BC.

raw or cooked?

40gb PS3 used/complete $210 off ebay with live cashback (25% I think)
Later added 300gb hd ($45)
and bought an old PS2 phat for old games ($37)
Still less than any BC PS3 :)

I have the 60 GB (250GB now) Backwards Compatiable version = $500
I also got 5 free Blu-rays and a Blu-ray Remote with it for free.

I bought mine because I really wanted to get one before the removed the BC chips.

$350 plus tax for the 40gb Spiderman 3 Blueray bundle. Then got the mail in coupon for 5 more free bluerays. Right after the 40 came out, and got $50 off due to it being an open box.

Got my 60gb for $350+tax (SonyCard deal: $500-$150) in August 07

Got my 40gb for free when I won the daily contest on the SonyCard website about a year ago.

Both still alive and kickin' and of course I shill the Sony Card as much as possible. To this day, I filter most of my day to day expenses through it to build up points and redeem them for credit on PS3 games I buy.

Technically, $499 for the 20GB version on launch day.

I also bought a 60GB for $599 on launch day. (holy shit, just rereading that amount makes me gag) and sold it on ebay the same day for $1500.

So I kept the 20GB PS3 and bought a TV. :)

i got lucky in august of 2008 i got a 2007 80GB (BC) ps3 for 99.99 (129.99 altogether with tax and s&h) i was lucky i guess but when it came home it had awfull caviar porn and lame music on the hd, smelled like smoke and grass, dusty as hell but i used a dirt devil and gave it a good cleaning took 7 hrs to remove and restore (the previous owner used 70gb in nasty ass porn he later said it was his homies lol) good deal neverless still works till this day

$379.99 for a new 20GB from EBGames.com in October 2007. I had to have full BC and I didn't think it was worth the extra $120 for the larger hard drive or card readers and I don't go online so the wireless didn't matter either.

I paid about 550 after tax for the console "60 gigger in 2007 October" I never regretted it. I played tons of PS2 rpgs on it with unlimited memory card space, played the games of the times, and now playing nothing but PS3 and PSN games. I have it set up for linux "it saved me more then once" and as a movie machine. The 550 was worth far more then any other console IMO. If you use every ability, you will never regret purchasing this.

$399 40GB with $100 gift card = $299. That was a year ago and there still hasn't been a better deal. I love CAG. Don't give a shit about BC because me and my fiancee have like 5 PS2s between the two of us that are all in working order (1 US phatty, 2 US slims, 2 Japanese phattys).

I dunno. PS2 BC is better then the actual PS2 if you know what you're looking for. I can essentially make unlimited memory cards. I have cards dedicated per game rather then worrying about memory card space. Now that's true freedom. One memory card for Tales of Destiny, one for Tales of the Abyss, Another for Tales of Legendia and so forth.

I have always wanted a 60GB, but I couldnt find one on Kijiji for the longest time, so I ended up getting 40GB + a brand new PS2 and I am definitely happy :D (Right after I bought it, someone was willing to part with their 60GB for pretty cheap, go figures lol)

Too many consoles / cables though! :D

Same boat as I was in (need to upgrade the HD soon though as I haven't done that yet) because I wasn't about to lose support for my 100 game PS2 collection.

I bought zewone's Japanese 20GB for $380 shipped three years ago. It came with Calling All Cars!, Tekken 5, flOw, Blast Factor, and Mortal Kombat II. It still works and I couldn't be happier with it.
$400 for 40 GB Metal Gear Solid 4 Limited Kojima Bundle on Amazon, Dec '08.
Gotcha beat. $0 for the same due to a shipping error at launch (summer of last year?). Sent to me even though I cancelled my order.

Anyhoo, just after I cancelled and before I received the Kojima bundle, I bought the MGS4 80G regular bundle for about $120 (real money) after flipping clearance/cheaply bought games to GS for about a year. Had it since Sept 08, put in a 320G drive and it's been great.

I got my MGS4 80gb PS3 at Blockbuster a couple days after it's release . I would guess that I paid around $180 out of pocket for it. This was when we were flipping clearance games from Target to BBV using the $5 toy coupon and the $10 360 coupon.

My 360, on the other hand, I won in a drawing at a convention for work. :D

Alright, so my dream of a $250 ps3 is realistic, bc would be nice but not necesarry. Now i have to wait for live search to go back up in percentage, i used it for my wrestling mats at 18%, would love 25%.
