How much store credit do you have saved up for EB/Gamestop?
$222 and some change. I thought I had some nice credit, until I read this thread.
Same bro, same.

$0.00
I got to hand it to all of you with over $100, I'd get scared keeping more than that much in a store. You all really now how to get back at the high prices of new games. :)

None, I gotta start flipping games to save up for a Wii. I have a K-mart and an Eb-Games almost right next to each other. Oddly though, I can never get a game at K-mart for the price in the clearance thread. When I scan them or asked them to be scanned, it all comes up normal. :(

I hat eyou guys. There are no pawn shops, yard sales, K-Mart etc and none of th estores ever have the deals that are stickied at the top of the Deal Discussion thread. How am I supposed to get fodder around here?

Nothing in Boston.... Hard for me to believe that. Look in your phone book and I'm sure there are pawn shops around there. Also, make sure you use the CAGwiki trade values page to see if your purchase is worth it.
My $800 or so in EB credit is probably an out of pocket expense of around $300. Hooray for GameRush.
That is crazy impressive, botticus! Especially considering the amount EB gives for credit.

I trust (federally-insured) banks with my money, not credit at a retail store. But hey that's just me... for those that are comfortable with it, more power to you. Heck, I even get antsy about keeping more than $100 in my PayPal (becuase I've read some horror stories about Paypal freezing accounts).

$11.99!

And a preorder paid in full for Zelda Wii

After I trade in what I have left I should get another $55, but I might just preorder super monkey ball Wii with it.

$0 cuz I spent it the day I get it or the day after. Most of the time it is to buy a game cuz I didn't have the money. :D

Can someone explain to me the pricing for trade ins? Like, can I bring in more then one copy of the same game? Also, do they pay ok for shitty games?

I don't know yet, but i will soon(i will work at gs shortly). I think it goes by how many people trade the game in nationwide, and you can trade-in more then 1 copy of the same game. The price of the shitty game depends on how shitty it is.

I'm assuming these ridiculous amounts come from exploiting sales from the Deals topic where you get new/used games for as low as $2.00 then you flip them over to Gamestop for probably more then 2 and special deals like 10 for every 2 or 3 games you trade in. You guys are making alot but your still losing a chunk.

I want to do this eventually because 2007 is a busy year for 360.

But if you're going to spend the money anyway, then it doesn't matter. If I spend $100, and I know I'm going to buy a wii, and I manage to get $300 in credit, then I've effectively only paid $100 for a Wii and a Game as opposed to the $300 I was ready to spend anyway.

Yup, makes sense to me.

It's ok. Not everyone can be a successful CAG.

The only chunk we're losing is time...except for this guy:
I don't get the reference. :(
that asian guy is from the nbc series 'Heroes" and he has the ability to speed up time (might have time control, but that is all I can figure out from watching 15 minutes of the show)

edit:
seems like I was kind of wrong.
according to the official site
http://www.nbc.com/Heroes/bios/hiro.shtml
instead of speeding up time, he rewinds it.

Sounds like an interesting show, I'll have to check it out. I don't typically watch serialized TV shows, but I've been open to watch many of them after getting hooked on "Prison Break." :D
