How rare are the PS1 Lunar games?

How rare are these? Because I just bought them off a friend of mine for $10 each.

Good deal, if these are complete CEs, great deal! They're not that rare, but chances are you won't find them in many stores, even used, because they go for a decent price on ebay.
 
They're 100% complete. Soundtracks, making of discs, hardcover manuals, even the cloth map in Lunar 1. We well em at Game Crazy for $29.99 and $39.99, and he would have been getting like $17 in credit so I gave him a few bucks more. I'm so glad I did... I just played a bit of the first game and I'm really happy with it. Really good voice acting, and good anime cutscenes.
 
I *am* however a little depressed that the discs are kind of scratched (but work well so far) and the boxes are a little bit beat up. But I guess that's OK.

Best...game...ever! I own three copies of Lunar Silver Star Story and two copies of Lunar 2 Eternal Blue. Excellent buy for you!
 
Heh, I've got a whole thread about trying to find a deal on Lunar 1/2 and someone basicly gives you theirs. Great deal on some great games.

I'd make an offer cornfedwb but I don't have much you'd want.
 
It's pretty easy to find the games themselves, I've seen em at Gamestops and EB's fairly frequently. However, to find them complete and in good condition is quite a bit tougher
 
The games aren't as rare as their Sega CD counterparts but you'll still have a harder time finding it than some other RPG's. That's mainly because a lot of people don't want to let it out of their collections. Sounds like you got a good deal IMO.
 
To be honest, I think the PS1 versions are actually an improvement over the SegaCD conterparts. A lot of times nostalgia takes over for me, and I lean towards the original material, but not in this case. Better load times, updated graphics etc. A great re-release all the way around!
