It may be a futile, doomed effort, but they aren't killing and totally orphaning the Touchpad. Yeah, it's going to be limited, but it's ONE HUNDRED DOLLARS! A 9.7" tablet with Gorilla Glass screen for a C-note. Hell, I'm gonna get one just cuz! There's a Kindle app, so BAM!!! $100 eReader!

Pc connection is giving an error message, now the site shut down. I'm about ready to give up on ordering one of these tablets. Hopefully onsale from amazon ships them.

I gave up on PCConnection... $177 per 32 gb tablet isn't worth the price for me (shipping is expenssssiivveeee). I'd much rather have more 16 gb tabs.
 
Maybe these companies will now figure out that a decent tablet with a 10 inch screen for around $250 is what people want. A super high end contract attached tablet for $600 isn't. That is unless it's called iPad.
 
FYI: The Deus Ex credit dropped back to $10 for those who ordered...sorry about the OT post but I brought the whole thing up before :( Might want to call Amazon to check with them.

Amazon is making an affordable Android Tablet. That's why ppl suspect they aren't selling the HP Tab for cheap (except for the LD).

PC Connection is getting hammered right now! Page load is slow as molasses Don't worry, not buying and leaving the site so somebody else has a chance at this. Still in stock at the looks of it.
 
My order on PC Connection went through (I was given a temporary order number, though...Wonder if that means I'm out of luck), but unfortunately they only had the 32 GB version. I wanted to go cheap with the $99, but oh well. I'll just put more movies on it at any given time I guess. I was not charged any tax or shipping at least.
 
Got an order for 2 through PC Connection. I tried to use my Corporate IT login but couldn't get past errors. Ended up getting 2 through a personal account, but paid and ass ton for shipping and taxes. :( But i dont trust the Amazon onSale Purchase i made yesterday.

I managed to order one from HP SMB on Sunday morning and received an order # and customer #. But I haven't received a confirmation email. My CC has a pending charge. According to HP rep's twitter message:

"If you were charged + got order # but NO confirmation email. Up to you if you want to cancel, but worth a shot 2 hang in there. More coming."

So it looks like mine is on backorder and may or may not be fulfilled. That's okay with me because I managed to snag one from BB.com.

Bingo. If someone came out with a decent tablet at the ~200 price point that actually worked, people would buy them like crazy....of course then they'd nickle and dime us on software for the things

The actual emulator is actually right on the marketplace. It's below the "touchpad" apps in the games section. Or I think you can just search for SNES.

Just load any existing roms you onto your Touchpad's ROM folder (it creates it itself once you install the SNES emulator) and bam, it works. Just remember though that you need to change the skin to one with the controls visible...it was original made for the phone so it assumes you have a keypad. Every game so far except ALttp has worked perfectly.

Called Kmart yesterday for a price adjust and was told it's in process. This morning, they charged me the full $499.99 plus tax & handling. Time to call them again...

On the plus side, it hasn't been cancelled yet.

I'm seeing a $10 credit offered for the standard PS3 version and a $20 credit offered for the 360 version

LOL I just tried LTTP this morning. It worked fine that I could tell. I got to the point where I got my sword. The screen only showed an outline of the d-pad and no button outlines or anything. That seemed odd.

It was at $20 for like less than an hour but only on the order page and it reverted to $10 upon checkout. People called and they confirmed it is only $10. Some were able to get them to give the extra $10 but not all.

Has anybody else received a shipping notice from bestbuy.com? It says ships in 0-1 days, and the cancel option has been gone since yesterday. I got the order in pretty early, but still worried about it. My sister really wants one. I guess I may have to give her mine.

I got a confirmation email from Zones and PCCONNECTION. Even though I didnt see my Pcconnection order go through...
Luckily I used my credit card and not debit.
If both of them ship (I doubt either will...) I'll gladly sell it to someone in the Inland Empire - California, for a $10 profit.
