It may be a futile, doomed effort, but they aren't killing and totally orphaning the Touchpad. Yeah, it's going to be limited, but it's ONE HUNDRED DOLLARS! A 9.7" tablet with Gorilla Glass screen for a C-note. Hell, I'm gonna get one just cuz! There's a Kindle app, so BAM!!! $100 eReader!

I was getting errors all over Insights page. I was running all three browsers. IE, FF, and Chrome trying to get through. Oddly enough IE got through first. Hopefully this one gets filled.

We had to do the same thing, and IE is what helped the order to go through for us too.

...If you hadnt already registered with insight before the sale went live, I just dont see how you expect to get it. If you have to refresh and try 20 times to place an order...I dont see how you expect to get it. Insight has been selling em all day. There's no way they still have any. Make sure you at least make an HP.com account, at least be prepared for that one. Never gonna have good luck if you try to register to a site as it's getting bombed
 
This sucks, I'm never gonna get one, lol. Insight won't let you even create an account and those #'s aren't changing so this has to be dead. If you refresh, sometimes it will show 'Call for Availability' other times Add to Cart. So it's fucked.....\

Fingers crossed I get one and I really cannot stand hoarders..... =)

your mentaility is the exact reason why this wont ship. people arent buying 1 they are going all out buying 3 4 at a time. insight is likely to cancel since their stock number was horribly slow to update. they went half an hour and they had the same stock number available.
 
Well, in anticipation of the on sale orders getting cxld, I ordered two through insight. I got a confirmation email, card's been auth but when I search for my order on their site it doesn't exist. Sigh.

That's why I used the AMEX. Any problems whatsoever & it's taken care of by them.

About the GF I - I was talking about it on Friday and Saturday. She kept saying it was dumb and she didn't need one. Sunday morning I wake up early, order & one from Best Buy. I get the shipment email today and was happy for about 1 hour. Then I called her at lunch to let her know and she said "I decided I would like one, can you order me one and I'll pay you back?"

Doh! Would have been a hell of a lot easier on Sunday. I spent 1/2 of my work hours and 5 hours tonight on this. I really hope it goes through.

same touchpad at sears cropped up about 100 pages ago on this thread, and over at SD sunday, I heard quiet a few ppl at SD ordered them by the truckload LOL
 
If I didn't have roughly $500 in pending charges right now I'd probably try INSIGHT, but not worth it to just add more money to the pot of money I can't use.

My Officemax order is still placed, pending charge, order number isn't showing up
My 2 bestbuy orders were cancelled by in-store pickup and still pending on my card
and Barnes and Noble is still pending.
 
If you look up your order number in insight, it can't find it haha. I saved the receipts but the fact that it isn't showing up in their system leaves me little hope.

Yup, regardless of what pops up, I can't attempt anymore. I've got $400 + tx/shipping. I hope at least two of the four ship for me, though.

My mentality? That has nothing to do with if it will ship or not.

They either have enough or they don't.

Unlike other users, I easily created an account and paid for it.

If they cancel it, so be it.

I think HP is giving academic orders the shaft heres my transcript (I ordered on the academy store and used a $30 off coupon. I really don't think were going to get them. It seem like Small biz store orders got priority. I ordered on friday at 9 pm, and I didn't get a confirmation email till I raised some hell over the phone.

I just chatted with them on HP.com, I'll post a transcript if you'd like. That such BS other people ordered on saturday and their sh!t is getting sent out. Lame!
