It may be a futile, doomed effort, but they aren't killing and totally orphaning the Touchpad. Yeah, it's going to be limited, but it's ONE HUNDRED DOLLARS! A 9.7" tablet with Gorilla Glass screen for a C-note. Hell, I'm gonna get one just cuz! There's a Kindle app, so BAM!!! $100 eReader!

Well at least now we know onSale is shipping em out despite the "shipping soon" label STILL on Amazon. For those of us that placed orders minutes after the deal first went live, I'm pretty sure we're safe. Just a matter of time I suppose.

Did anyone that order on 08/22 get it in today? I paid for overnight shipping, and HP Order status said it would come in today, but it's 5:35pm and nothing.

My BestBuy had a crapton. I was maybe fortieth in line or so and snagged a 32 gb. Expect a line and good luck everyone. I'm just happy I don't have to keep checking this thread anymore.

Jeez, I've been on hold with HP for over 45 minutes. I'm trying to cancel my touchpad because I was lucky enough to snag one during the amazon sale. Getting a little sick of sitting here, I killed some time by playing MLB the show but I got things I have to do tonight and I can't sit here much longer.

Also just got shipping confirmation from Best Buy. Submitted order for 32gb model Sunday morning. Didn't know about the free-shipping link initially, cancelled it, then got free shipping. Shipping via UPS with tracking. Thanks OP!
 
Stupid BB instore tracker said a store near me had them. Went there.... no dice. Now it says another store near me has them that didn't when I checked the first time.

Just got my shipping confirmation from bb.com as well for a 32g order that I placed on Sunday morning.
 
Reserved a hp case at od to pick up tonight at $19.99. They have the keyboard, and keystone charger dock. Probably won't buy the dock, may consider the keyboard, not sure if its really needed though .

Yeah, was a little odd cause I just got my tracking number. I think it was just sent to everyone as a heads up.
 
Sorry if this has already been stated elsewhere but I just got through to Zones.com and the CSR told me that if your order shows up as In Process then you are on back order.

They have NO IDEA if they will be getting any more tablets in but those with orders in are the first come first serve.

So might be worthwhile to hold onto that back order from their site until you can find something better.

He isn't the only one. A lot of people on SD are reporting the same thing. Never updated Amazon info. Which is fine, they probably have a crap ton of order to fill. To go in to amazon's system and update it will cost time from me getting my TouchPad haha
 
Just got a shipping confirmation from Best Buy.com, and I ordered Sunday morning about 8am -- did not select in-store pickup -- got free shipping.

So, basically, if you ordered from Best Buy.com on Sunday, there's still hope.
 
onsale canceled my order - confirmed
just got off the phone with onsale... they canceled my order which had a quantity of two 16gig touchpads. I asked about orders for 2 of my friends and they said that those orders were not canceled but were waiting to be shipped if there were enough units. Here's the funny thing one of my friends ordered about 1/2 hour before me and the other ordered about 2 hours after me. They each ordered only one unit (one had 16gb and the other a 32gb).
I think that the rumor that they deleted all orders that were >1 quantity is probably true.
And, it looks like they gave preferential treatment to people who paid for next-day shipping regardless of the time that they placed their order. I think this is a fail on their part. I wasn't being greedy by ordering 2. I could have placed 2 separate orders had I known .

My order from Wal-mart.com placed at about 3 am MST on the 20th, will be arriving on Friday assuming FedEx doesn't lose it or something.

We still dont know the numbers of their inventory.

Any thoughts on a mini bluetooth keyboard for about $16 shipped from Amazon? It's bigger than a chatpad but much smaller than a full keyboard or the onscreen Touchpad keyboard.

I would assume Bluetooth that works with PC would also work with the Touchpad? A remote would be great for viewing pics/movies even if typing on it isn't really worth it.

OK. Called Bestbuy.com Monday to inquire what 'null and null days' means on my order and they said "Oh, Sorry, expect a cancellation letter anytime today or the next day." Well... surprise surprise! My order got shipped today! Ordered 32gb, 7:20am eastern (ordered regular shipping). Dont lose hope. 'Null and null days' doesnt mean you are not going to get your Touchpad.
 
My Insight order says Credit OK too. But not Released. Am I OK?

My OnSale Amazon order is not canceled yet.

I already have a 32GB but getting a 16GB for the wife is consuming my life.

I FREAKING LOVE THIS TABLET! Death to Apple!

It would be funny as hell if I ended up getting both orders. I'd keep the third for the car or the baby!

Hmm the best buy inventory checker says available in store for the best buy near me...but calling them they said they were sold out. Anyone know if its still worth the drive? Is the website usually accurate or do I trust the sales associate?
