It may be a futile, doomed effort, but they aren't killing and totally orphaning the Touchpad. Yeah, it's going to be limited, but it's ONE HUNDRED DOLLARS! A 9.7" tablet with Gorilla Glass screen for a C-note. Hell, I'm gonna get one just cuz! There's a Kindle app, so BAM!!! $100 eReader!

HP updated there page to coming soon. Hopefully today is the day. EDIT. It did for 5 minutes and now its not saying it anymore.

I am not sure if people have already written this but the promo codes for the 6 free app on the HP Blog are no good (except the Kung Fu Panda one). Each one says the max number of codes had been used. That did not take long.

If I had the luxury of picking up extras I certainly would. It would make for some interesting trades with other CAGS... quite possibly a great way to add to my collections while helping out others

Edit: or a good way for me to get rid of those extra COD: BO Prestige Ed. I have taking up space

Do it. That's what I did, though I was wishing they had the 16gb model in stock instead of the 32gb when I got to my local BB cuz I just didn't feel like paying the extra $50 for the bigger one.

Either way, I got one of the last 7 they had in stock of the 32gb yesterday.;)

Extra COD: BO Prestige Editions? Me too.;) But I may actually finally look into sending the RC cars from the opened ones to Trucks For Troops, that is assuming I can just drop them off at the local military recruiting office.

It's frustrating - the closest store to me that has stock has the distance that I would go, but I would be seriously mad if I got there and then they didn't a) didn't have any or b) already had a huge line.

The one around me is only 10 minutes from my work, but I don't really feel like standing in line for a long time. Plus, I have court for the delinquent that stole a bunch of stuff from my wife's vehicle today at 1... So I would only be able to check at Open. It really hinges on whether my wife wants one or not.

that rage happened to me yesterday. My "nearest" was an hour and a half drive plus a 20 minute wait outside only to find out they gave out tickets for them the night before. Of course when I called the day before and asked about tickets they said they weren't going to do that and it was first come first serve.
 
Last "tech support" post, I promise:
- If you're wondering about what order to do the tweaks/overclocking in, below is how I did it and everything went smoothly:
1. Update WebOS
2. Do the logging hack (need to use skype to access the dialer)
3. Do the steps to load precentral and download the two logging minimizers
4. Do the steps to overclock
I'm sorry if people are having trouble after employing those hacks, but honestly, my touchpad actually got more stable and had less connection type errors after I did them. What originally felt sluggish and a bit wonky now feels speedy and efficient. BTW, the overclock I did was to 1.5, not the 1.7 that apparently is also out there.

P.S. A hard reset doesn't "restore" the system to it's original state. So, if you had problems after the hacks, did a hard restore, and it all runs smoothly, congratulations, the hacks worked.

I really want the HP Touchpad case but Walmart has it for 19.99 online but in the store they want 39.99 and they won't price match walmart.com
 
They pretty much get an unpaid item strike, that's it.

Only problem is seller is going to have to get a "cancel transaction" agreement with the buyer to avoid a $10,000 Final Value Fee.
