It may be a futile, doomed effort, but they aren't killing and totally orphaning the Touchpad. Yeah, it's going to be limited, but it's ONE HUNDRED DOLLARS! A 9.7" tablet with Gorilla Glass screen for a C-note. Hell, I'm gonna get one just cuz! There's a Kindle app, so BAM!!! $100 eReader!

I don't have scans, but I have the physical ad in front of me, and there is nothing at all about the touchpad in it. Samsung galaxy tab 7" for $280 and 50% off some galaxy tab accessories.

I'd probably stick with the iPad and download pages. At least you know that will be getting updates. Really just about any Bluetooth keyboard should work for both of them so you may not have to decide on just one.
 
had my buddy check my local BB and they said none were in stock...walmart might get more in. Do we have a stock checker for walmart.com? Anyone wanna sell their extra touchpad?
 
I know that B&M Wal-Mart stores will not be getting more because the item has been deleted from all of the store distribution centers. It is possible that they may get more for .com but I really couldn't say for sure.

ok i order through the smb site for a 16gb tp and got an order confirmation email with order number and all. counldnt check the order on the tracker cause they said it didnt exist. called hp support 2 times both time rep said they said they have my order and i will be receiving one in a few weeks due to high amount of orders. well i checked my bank account just now and there is no pending charges anymore...and i have not received any kind of cancellation email. anyone have anything similar happen? what happened?

Pending charges stay on the account for 3 buisness days and then disappear until it is fully charged. That's normal. Don't freak out too much about it
 
haha ok, well i sent them an email freaking out. thanks for the info i thought it might have that chance but i wasnt 100% sure. well anyone know why i cant seem to check the status of my smb order online? doesnt even recognize the email and pass i created to order it.
 
Hi everyone, I saw on google that a Bestbuy near me has limited stock. However, the Bestbuy Inventory says unavailable. Does anyone know which one is more accurate?

I can only tell you what I know from past experience. I had a similar experience and called Best Buy to check inventory, and they indeed had none and said sometimes it'll take a while for the system to update. Sorry, but chances are your best buy is out. :(

I would say the BB inventory. Like someone said before I think they are through shipping to stores or at least BB is through.

The stock tracker in the OP is correct. You have to get there EARLY if you live in a bigger/more popular city. Like before 5am. I posted some tips, 5 pages or less back.

Arrivals expected Tuesday. Don't overpay. There are still tons of these left. Hate to see people takin advantage of."

Anyone else get confirmation of anything? I tried to input my address several times into the form when it first went live and never had it go through.

Or is this person just trying to screw over the resellers?

I was able to sign up for the notification. If they do get more, great. If not, oh well at least I tried. I just did it now though so I haven't received any kind of email.
 
The tracker says that my BB has 32gbs but an employee keeps saying that is a mistake and they do not receive on saturdays/sundays. What shoult I do? Its 30 more mins until they open...
 
I want one of these just as a glorified mp3/youtube/video player. I doubt I'll even find one in-stores like Best Buy, even if I had that amount of money to burn.

If they don't recieve shipments on sundays then it could mean that the shipment will come on monday morning, but don't quote me.

I've been signed up for days, this email didn't happen.
 
That email is a lie. HP hasnt sent anything out. When was that CL ad posted? Youd figure if one person got the email, so would the rest of the world at the same time.

There's a woman named Bryna Corcoran who works with HP and is on Twitter (@BrynaAtHP) who has been giving out updates on the situation ever since the first Friday that the firesale began.

Currently, HP is supposed to be getting another shipment in any day now--they thought it would happen this past Friday/Saturday but it didn't arrive--and once that happens they're going to be sold directly through HP's site. She doesn't know how many there will be...could be 20k, could be 500k.

Either way, if you want a TouchPad then do 3 things:
1) Go on HP's site and sign up your email address to be notified when they're back in stock
2) Follow Bryna on Twitter and see what she says early next week
3) Pray you're not at work or otherwise indisposed when they go back on sale because they're gonna go quickly.

NOOO!!! That tracker has been flawless for these TP's! I, still, don't trust your store! Maybe the morning/day shift employees kept them after the night shift stockers entered them into the system.
 
^^ most people will already be logged in to the HP store on their phones, and when they get an alert while at work, they will drop everything they're doing, tell the customer to go help themselves for 5 minutes, and quickly place an order ^_^
