Humble Bundle Thread

Dominique Pamplemousse has just the worst ending...
After 3 1/2 hours of playing, the credits begin to roll, and you realize..

No cards had dropped, because the game had no cards!!

I was lucky to have AoM:HD gifted to me at launch. It's my favorite in the series and I've already put in 132 hours, according to Steam.

Even if you're not interested in multiplayer, the game has a series of very long singleplayer campaigns and lots of nice skirmish maps (and Steam Workshop support), so there's quite a bit to do. Great game.

7.49 last fall on steam, I expect it will go for $5 in one of the steam sales this year and thats when I'll be picking it up.
You'd think so, but there have been a couple of games (notably XCom: Enemy Within) that just refuse to drop below ~$9 on steam (current price), or $7.50 anywhere else. So while you're likely right, it seems more and more like publishers aren't giving in to the massively discounted sales we've enjoyed for the past few years.

You have just witnessed the superhuman powers of the Spoder, folks.

Dual monitor with auto-refresh? Radioactive spider-bite? No one will ever know...

Thanks!

I'll give away the games I had from the bundle. If anyone wants one of these, quote my post with which one you want:

The Bridge
Closure
Betrayer
Well, frig, I guess if it's still available, I'll take Betrayer, since I've turned my nose up at every bundle it's been in so far.

How the fuck did you not have that. Anyway, PM'd, all games are now gone.
I've been cutting back on bundles in recent months, hoping I'd be able to just get a few that were relatively repeat free. Not working out so hot thus far, so we'll see how long this lasts.

Anyway, thanks!

So I finished Neverending Nightmares and got all of the endings. It's basically a very artsy walking/open door simulator with a lot of symbolism that leads to open-ended endings. While I didn't find the game scary, the setting is very creepy and the images are quite disturbing. It took me about 3 hours to get all of the endings and explore all of the rooms.

Based on the length and gameplay I'd say to wait until it's rebundled, $5+ is a bit much for a 2-3 hour game of this type IMO. However, if you like artsty psychological horror with symbolism that can be theorized in many different ways, I think this is the game for you. If you hate walking simulators, I would suggest avoiding it.. the gameplay tends to be very repetitive and all you really do in the game is walk. I personally enjoyed it for what it is, and I think it's a different take on the genre.

Just give me the best of Bill the Cat. That's really all I want.

If no such volume exists, make it happen.

What was the low for the BTA on this current one? I didn't check until 45 minutes in.
I didn't check until about 10 minutes in. At the time, there were 105 bundles sold, and the BTA was $8.98. It's gone steadily up since then. I can't say if it ever did bottom out. But if it did, it recovered pretty quickly.

Yeah, i'm not digging the "Average +$5" thing.

That was the major thing that turned me away from IndieRoyale, how the price fluctuated like crazy.

Top tier is already over $20.  That's pretty steep for digital comic book anthologies.

Mildly related: to those who frequently purchase digital comic books, how do you "read" them?  99% of my reading these days occurs via the kindle app on my phone, and the few comics pdfs I have just feel awkward and cumbersome on that tiny screen.  I'm sure it would be better on a tablet, but I use mine so infrequently that it never seems worth purchasing these bundles (or even taking the damn thing out of wherever I have it stored away).

Comic strip anthologies from a very well-regarded author. This one, I suspect, has a somewhat different customer base than, say, the Transformer bundle that ended today. I suspect that plays some part in the rapid climb of the average.

There's an app for reading them on the iPad/Android. Works well and I haven't had a problem reading them on my Mini.

Pennied in as well. I've never read Bloom County and this seems like a decent way to start.

Man did this one climb in price fast, still glad I got in at $15 for the blue lock.

Wonder if the price also had to due with the fact this one is only a week long and there is no "more coming soon."
