Humble Bundle Thread

Well I'm glad I skipped out on this month. It's a decent bundle, sure, but not worth $12 for me. I'm buying next month's though, purely for Ark. Everything else will just be bonuses.

Wow this humble monthly was bad for me. I think I pretty much had everything sans Dropsy/Alien Isolation/Volume so it's like paying $4 for each which isn't too good. I'm stopping this unless I get convinced to get ARK. I'm going to be giving away good stuff later along with bundle junk (giving away Broken Age and Titan Souls later). That arena game looks lame.

So who's the moran that said the Elephant game would be a steam key!

Though, that was when l thought it was one of the six main Steam games rather than an extra/bonus.

I'm tempted to buy the next monthly for ark.
Can anyone recommend it?
Yes. The dino nerf is a pain in the ass, but since you didn't play with the awesome dinos, you probably won't even notice. Make sure you have someone to play with. Preferably a few people. Later game can become incredibly boring if you don't have people who are willing to help with base maintenance. Other than that, good times to be had.

I nipped over to Steam and read some of the recent user reviews. Are CAGs still playing ARK? The last couple of patches apparently nerfed the hell out of the dinosaurs and caused users to ragequit the game.
I rage quit after my dodo couldn't take down a giganotosaurus anymore. fuck ing bullshit is what that is.

There's some still playing it and funny enough there was talk of people coming back in the CAG ARK group this morning. Other than bro night there never was a huge population on there, but I imagine we'll see some more hop on now.

outside of alien, and maybe broken age nothing really interested me,  glad i skipped this one.  Broken age is $2 all over Groupbuys steam group.  Ive liked psychonauts and costume quest, but considering its double fine,  just cant pull the trigger at $2

Im in for ark.

Just for reference, my tweet about the development time wasn't to imply a lack of faith or confidence in our game - it was to set proper expectations because it's not something to be played for hours and hours. It's a full game, but it doesn't have a huge breadth of content.

Since Humble hasn't explained this original game stuff at all yet (and it seems like they should have), you should all be aware that this is a BONUS game on top of the six games you're already expecting. If people are going to complain and stamp their feet (and cancel their subscriptions) over a freebie on top of what is already a great deal - I don't know what to say. It's people like that who are responsible for things like Club Nintendo going away. Even if you don't like it, or want it at all, it's free. Delete it and empty your recycle bin - move on. It didn't cost anything so who cares?
It's a nice bonus. If Humble throws in extras like that you'll hear no complaints.

Other than here, that is, because I/we like to complain about everything. :oldman: Consider it busting balls -- no offense intended.

Great bundle for me, very happy. Can't wait to play Titan Souls.

That being said I based my super bowl prediction on this bundle, if it was a good bundle, then I am going to have a good weekend, therefore the Broncos will win the super bowl!!!!

Also, my 3 year old son is going to love that elephant game.

I don't have an issue with your game, I do have an issue with how vague Humble has been though. They should've been upfront with the "humble exclusive"/bonus game thing from the start. Also probably should've stated it wasn't a steam key. People may have still complained, but there wouldn't be any misinterpretations, and it would've been easier to grasp I think.

Was tempted to get this bundle, didn't really want alien on pc so said I'd wait and that chances are all I'd be interested in is the main game which I was right. I almost got ark in the humble store last week and glad I waited.

Gonna be the first monthly I grab, already feel like it's above and beyond. Has it been this cheap during steam sales? I see on xbone it's 34.99.

This. People were just concerned that one of the usual 6 games was replaced by a game of questionable quality (lowered expectations, made specifically for this bundle). As a bonus, it's totally fine and I'm glad it was thrown in as long as it didn't mean we got lesser quality games.

... actually I got the Warm Damp Hug edition. I got the OST! :D

Check your PMs!
Thank you for posting this, I bought the monthly and asked if either Titan Souls or Dropsy were the soundtrack editions, I was only given confirmation Titan Souls was the regular, and assumed Dropsy was too since no one else said anything. Ended up selling my copy, reading this post, and immediately bought a copy from someone else. $2 is 90% off the soundtrack edition and that's good enough for me.

As for the actual Monthly contents, it's a mixed bag. Isolation is great, and would get a lot more hype if it hadn't been part of that AMD glitch. Volume is good, and I hope it doesn't end up bundled a bunch for nothing like Thomas Was Alone. Broken Age is good even if it's been on sale for about that much in the BAB. Dropsy's alright, soundtrack makes it worth a little more. Titan Souls has been cheaper, but it's also okay, it's hurt by not being the CE. Penarium is the definite loser of the bunch, in my opinion, there are way too many other good games Team17 could have had included instead. But 4/6 being worth it is okay, even if it's not as good as previous months (it's not, and they knew it)

I'm also lacking DLC tab or DRM-free soundtrack for Dropsy. I don't need it or care about it, but spoder has more games and DLC than me and that's not acceptable!

Yeah, I'm probably moranbroing it just to have an extra copy of ARK, not sure what I'll do with it.

You want to know something funny? I Gilby's this monthly (with Alien Iso). I meant to buy it after Doomstink posted, but then took my dog on a walk (with no princess outfit, she only wears those in the house) and then when I came back it was after one. Then, I look at the games and don't really regret missing it....except for Elephant in the Room which looks to be fun. Funny how those things work.
What a coincidence. I put off buying it all month...and then remembered to do so this morning.

Gotta say im pretty ecstatic with the way this one turned out. Don't own any of the games, and really wanted Dropsy, Titan souls, and Alien.

Thanks humble bundle.

Put "exclusive indie games" in the Humble Monthly squarely in the column of "DO NOT WANT" for me. For $12, I'd like to think I'm going to end up with a few worthwhile games, not someone's weekend-in-the-basement project.

I'll likely pass on the Humble Monthly from now on other than if I want the highlighted game. Not sure about ARK, but I know other than the main bundle game and Dropsy I really likely didn't get my money's worth.

We all look forward to your monthly "i'm cancelling my subscription" posts.

I'm all for it as long as it is an extra like the Elephant game this month.

You know, extras are fine, but if you read the linked page, it appears that they are essentially starting an indie funding machine with these monthly bundles.

Grabbed ARK for $12 ... interested to see what else will be included. Hopefully something my 8 year old PC can run ... cuz it sure as hell can't handle ARK 😆 (I was optimistic that if my Xbox One could handle it ... so could my old PC ... yeah ... no)

Ubisoft BTA Unlocks

Tom Clancy's Splinter Cell Chaos Theory®
Far Cry 3 Blood Dragon

Chaos Theory was in the dollar tier for both Tom Clancy bundles. Atrocious.
