Humble Bundle Thread

I didn't really want to get the Telltale bundle, since Strong Bad is the only Telltale game I don't have.

Then I got a random code drop on the internet for Strong Bad.  Thumbs up internet.

Most of you just got an answer to your prayers.

Does Fistful of Gun got online COOP? The store page on steam says COOP and Local COOP. The reason I asked cause I have Phantom Breaker and the store page for that is same as FoG. When i booted up the game it doesnt have online COOP play. My friend and I were upset by that.

Yes, it does. The online co-op is 4 players max though, while local supports 9 or 10.

I usually check co-optimus.com for stuff like this http://www.co-optimus.com/game/3553/pc/a-fistful-of-gun.html, also looks like Phantom Breaker will be getting online coop http://steamcommunity.com/app/329490/discussions/0/451852225136879800/ , game still sounds like a buggy mess though.

Co-Optimus isn't accurate for the online coop in Fistful of Gun though.. Definitely only supports 4 players. It's a good guideline, but sometimes you're better off checking forums or the game itself.

I thought the video on the humblebundle page said 9 player local and online multiplayer. I want my money back. Who the duck is gonna have 9 ppl at their house playing this crap?
There's a FAQ thread on the game's forum that tries to explain it, but makes little sense:

Q: Online or Local Co-op (Couch Co-op)?
A: Both, supports up to 9 players in either, though there is a cap for 4 clients per game right now in Online mode. I will be releasing the Fistful server.exe with the game so you can host your own if you don't want to play on my server/s. You can also play the game on the same screen with up to 9 players. You can also play multiple people on each computer WHILE playing online, so you can connect to online games and play several people on your computer also.

Seems that right now it's capped to 4 players online. I don't know if using your own server makes any difference. I tried launching fistfulserver.exe and don't understand how it works.

8 player Lead and Gold FTW!
Shit, that actually sounds pretty fun.
No, not really. I remember playing Lead & Gold in 2011 for some coal. I was in a match with a Russian guy on opposite teams, and we took turns killing each other and trying to drag the bag of gold to our hole in the ground before the other one respawned and killed us. After doing that for 10 minutes and not getting anything done, we killed bots together until the achievement popped. Uninstalled it and never looked back.

More like Dead & Old.

Well I thought the game-play was pretty solid, the only problem was, like you said, there was nobody playing it. You wouldn't really have that problem at a LAN party though.

It sounds like you can have up to 9 people online, with multiple people on a PC (aka clients?), max 4 PCs connected limit on one server, but another server allows up to 9 PC connected to it. You host your own games within those servers I think.

Yeah that was decent fun when it had people playing it.

lol yeah, the dev uncapped the player limit on his test server after I complained about it on the forum

Previously he had capped the player limit in one of the updates.

I frankly disliked lead and gold. My favorite mode was the one where you carried gold and collected it. Just seemed way too slow for my liking.
