Got it solely for Democracy 2. Played the first one but the second one sort of passed me by. Then I learned the guy has a Democracy 3 in development. I'd say the bundle had its intended effect, at least on me.

I would recommend my fellow CAGs to not beat the average:

I was interested in this democracy game, so I did. But it turns out that it runs at a fixed resolution of 1024*768 (cannot be changed) and thus looks awful on modern monitors. What a shame, did not realize how old the game was, and to put such an antiquity as BTA is quite misleading imho.
hmm, thanks maybe I should pass on the bta then

the BTA is down to $3.08.. still not sure whether these are worth it or not.

for anyone looking to split the bundle (like i did), steam is required for the Men of War games (only King's Bounty games are available DRM-Free). the info on the site seems a little ambiguous, to me anyway.

if you go to the system requirements page it is a lot more obvious:

This bundle ticks me off on so many levels.  it's bad enough that I already own the three Kings Bounty games, which i bought during a Steam summer sale years ago and haven't even played yet, but the real issue i have is that Warriors of the North is not included.  It's the only one I don't have, and I wouldn't mind so much if not for the fact that it was in a Groupees bundle once before back before I learned about bundles, and hasn't appeared in a bundle since.  I keep waiting for it to show up again, yet these three appear in a bundle every month and a half it seems.  Grrr....

At that point you should just realize you're only buying to collect!  Someone gifted me Warriors of the North... got maybe... a third of the way through before I stopped.  It's the same thing as AP was to Legend: slightly different rage mechanic (this time it's Valkyries instead of a dragon or magic chest), a handful of new units, but for the most part 80-90% of the content is the same.  I wouldn't recommend it to anyone unless they've completed The Legend, AP+Crossworlds, and are -- for some reason -- absolutely dying for more of the same.

Just grabbed the bundle for Men of War Assault Squad.  I have spare keys for the rest of the bundle if anyone is interested in helping me share the cost.  :)

If Warriors of the North were bundled for cheap I would grab it, but right now I already have the other three KB games. Debated grabbing the Men of War series for my brother-in-law, but still on the fence about that

that seems kind of dumb.. hasn't Warriors in the North been in a bundle before?

The Legend is by far my favorite despite the later games being arguably better mechanically. I prefer the writing in The Legend as it's more lighthearted.

I actually think that the translations/localizations have gotten worse as the series has gone on and Warriors of the North had outright blatant mistakes and errors as of whenever I last played it.

For me, none of the new games capture that feeling I had playing the old Genesis game but The Legend comes closest to how I remember it. (I'm just glad that someone grabbed the IP and wanted to do something with it even remotely similar to the GEN version)

This is a fantastic bundle for the price, but alas, I already own everything (with KB: Crossworlds being on GOG).  No need to pay $3+ to get a Steam key of a game I already have on another service.  Like others, I wish WotN were included.  Still a great bundle if you're missing some of these games, though... there's a LOT of content here for your money.

This is probably the dozenth time I've had a chance to pick up Armored Princess in a bundle, yet I somehow still don't own any of these games. Question for all those recommending the bundle: how complex/hard to get into are these games? I've got very limited experience with RPGs/Strategy games, but all the good talk in this thread is making me consider picking it up. Yeah yeah, it's only $1, but that dollar could be spent elsewhere, so I wanted to get some opinions before deciding either way :)

i dunno about Men of War, but King's Bounty games are really easy for beginners. they can get hard if you don't manage your troops well later on, but they can be played pretty casually if you want.

Oh, I'm totally buying to collect. I have every intention in playing all the games I buy, I just know that it's never going to happen. Heck, I have Playstation 1 games I haven't touched yet. Games are just too long nowadays, I'm never gonna play all the ones I want to. Still gotta collect 'em, though. :)

You're lucky to be collecting. I'm just buying to hoard now. I have games older than me that I haven't gotten to yet.

What kind of dirt or soil does 1C have on Humble? Sexting?

Real talk: The 1C bundle is 1 click away from the Deep Silver Bundle, which has 273,175 purchases and universal coverage.

1C is at 32,000 with 6 days and 11 hours remaining.

Being a fan of Heroes of M&M I was always intrigued about the King's Bounty games. I will probably never play them, but it's comforting to know that I will have them in my collection for $1.

Edit: Ended up paying more than the average ($3.50) because the dlc had boobies on the cover.

If anybody is only interested in the Men of War games it is worth noting that IndieGala has a 3 day mini-bundle:

Assault Squad is $0.99

AS, Red Tide, and the base game are $3.99 ($2.99 if you bought the Summertide Bundle)

By combining the two you can pay $1 on humble and $1 on IndieGala and get all 3 Men of War games and 2 of the 3 KB games for $2.

So you're saving $0.50 or so total? Just get them through Humble bundle. You can get a DRM free downloaded copy that way too.
About a buck fifty if you only wanted one game. And Men of War is Steam only. Besides, this is CAG.

Oh, and btw,

EDIT: I just realized if you look on the details, the Humble version of Men of War: Assault is the GOTY which already includes that DLC. They should call it out on the main page.

Anyone else buy the crossworlds one?

I activated it, and the key they sent me includes both crossworlds and armored princess.  Not sure if that was intentional or not but I only paid the 1$, didnt go for the full bundle.

So that was a nice surprise since I was missing that one as well
