I don't know where the hell you all are but everywhere I go have and have c junk food is much cheaper then healthy food.... non-organic one hell of alot cheaper then organic.

The government says it all depends on how you measure the price. If you compare the price per calorie – as some previous researchers have done – then higher-calorie pastries and processed snacks might seem like a bargain compared with fruits and vegetables.
But comparing the cost of foods by weight or portion size shows that grains, vegetables, fruit and dairy foods are less expensive than most meats or foods high in saturated fat, added sugars or salt.
That means bananas, carrots, lettuce and pinto beans are all less expensive per portion than French fries, soft drinks, ice cream or ground beef.
"Using price per calorie doesn't tell you how much food you're going to get or how full you are going to feel," said Andrea Carlson, scientist at the USDA's Economic Research Service and an author of the study.

It's like a few of the posters on here that are accusing others of not understanding have themselves really no clue what it ACTUALLY is like to be poor. Or could it be that not all poor people are the same..that not all poor people have the same circumstances (which are many)...that not all people view poor the same (what is poor to you is rich to me)...etc etc.

Because of this post, I'm starting to wish I responded to the one you deleted so that there'd be a record of it. Not because it was your typical mental vomit, but because it was actually an atypical well-reasoned argument...at least in comparison to a vast majority of your posts. I can't help but wonder why you deleted it eventhough you have a habit of deleting those types of posts. The only answer I can come up with is that you're just purposely trolling the hell out of this forum.
