I gotta have--my--OTT!

Hey Frosty, Oblivon sucks ass to me.
But I can respect it's perfect scores. It deserves them.

That's the difference. I wouldn't call it a shitty game for everyone.
I want FES or GTA4 already.
GTA4 hasn't been leaked yet?
The reason the Patriots schedule is so easy is because they destroyed their division last year.
Doesn't matter who the pats play. They're a bunch of cheaters anyways :nottalking:
I want FES or GTA4 already.
I feel the same.

Except I'll have to wait on GTA4 since it's coming from YF360G. :/

Can't wait for FES.

I agree.

And did you really give me Rotten Tomatoes scores for those two movies?
That's a simple yay or nay type review system.

I get fed up with Oblivion. Like I'm a mage guy, and I got stuck in a cave with no armor and no weapon against 5+ guys. Well, that's fucking great, except I can't even run out fast enough.
The reason the Patriots schedule is so easy is because they destroyed their division last year.
That makes no sense. Teams with better records are supposed to end up with the more difficult schedules, no? Even if you take out their craptacular division, the teams the NFL lined them up for has them going 16-0 again.

Massacres: Chiefs, 49ers, Rams, Raiders, Cardinals
No Contest: Broncos, Seahawks
Likely-to-make-it-a-game: Steelers, Colts, Chargers

How does the superbowl loser get a schedule that easy?

And no, Frisky, I had no clue that TFN was being sarcastic. He's always super serious...

Sorry for going Rocko there for a second. Haha.

Jimbo, I can't recall them now, I'd have to look them up.
I had friends who'd show me those station's playlists to show me how good they were. It's been a while but I'm sure those stations are still there.
I'm gonna look into it if the merger thing is true.

I bet strummer would know a few good ones.

I also couldn't get into Oblivion. I played for several hours but I was never compelled to keep going unlike Bioshock, for example, where I would be at work thinking about playing it that evening. I recognize Oblivion as a great game but it's one I just don't like.

Even if you take out their division's records, the Patriots are still 17th at barely above .500, which shows that they're not going to have a tough time repeating again.

I never said they were shitty games for everyone, d-bag. Don't put words in my mouth.

I said the overwhelming praise was higher than (I felt) it deserved.

My point being that unless your taste and requirements for a good game match up exactly with the reviewer(s) who gave it a perfect score in OXM, you're not necessarily going to think the same thing.

*Nsync, Brittany Spears, and the Spice Girls all sell MILLIONS and MILLIONS of records and get solid reviews. does that mean they're all high quality albums?

This is insane. I'm usually the one to hate great games but I loved Oblivion. It's flawed in a lot of ways and the main story line is pretty uncompelling but I think the motivation to play that game lies in how much enjoyment you get out of exploration.

Whoever thinks I was being sarcastic about thinking K & L was GOTY needs to eat a dick.

I liked the game a lot, so what?

Just coming off a bit vitriolic.
You have more of a mean streak inside you than me. ;)

^^Shut up TFN.

The benefit of the satellite system is the variety of stations. You can get so many stations that play shit you may have never heard of or at least wouldn't ever be played on most radio stations these days. For dallow or fartbubble or anyone who likes a lot of non-mainstream music, they can probably find stations that play stuff they really like or maybe even introduce them to new bands they may have never heard of otherwise.

Rocko posting in the OTT is causing "Rockos Modern Life" ads to appear at the top of the screen.

By the way Rock, how was Prom Date? Worthy of a 14%?
Got you a copy. I'll PM you the details.
:bouncy:

In the right context, they're solid pop albums. The perfect mix of engaging hooks and repetitive beats.
There is much worse than those groups that try for what they achieve.
Save for N'Sync. I don't remember solid reviews for it.

In any case, this is about games, not music.
So your whole argument is that reviews aren't always reliable guides to go by?

...Shocking revelation.
That was the whole point, yes. Telling dallow that because someone at OXM gave GTA4 a 10/10 does not mean it will live up to the hype or be as great as everybody is anticipating.

Do I hope it is? Sure.
Are the early positive/perfect reviews an indication that it will be? fuck no.

Sorry Jimbo, I'm not going to be of any help either. Never got satellite, though I was considering it when I was shopping for a car a few years back. I just installed a port for my iPod and listen to all my music that way.

On the ridiculous front, next Monday I have to attend mandatory Microsoft Word training, because our office is, "switching over from Wordperfect." I've never even used Wordperfect. I tried to tell our office manager this, and it was like talking to a brick wall.

Me: "I've used Word for as long as I can remember, I could teach the training class."
Manager: "I doubt it. Word is very different than the Wordperfect you are used to."
Me: "I've never touched Wordperfect."
Manager: "I know this transition will go over well, you just need to be open to changing your routine."

What the hell?

Games, music, movies -- it doesn't matter. Reviews are subjective. That's the point that started this conversation.

Yeah, and I basically believe the opposite.

Good reviews to me are an indication that it should be a quality game.

An INDICATION.
I'm certainly not going to get my hopes up for games that are rated poorly across the board.
But a game that is universally praised? Yeah, my interest is piqued.

Why'd you buy 28 Days Later on Blu-cheese, d-bag? The trailer was on Sunshine and it looked like garbage. Actually, I think the camera they used on it can barely fill regular DVD resolution.

---

I dunno about that Frosty, I think all those groups sell tons of albums despite getting terrible reviews.

The down side to procrastinating .. when I stop working on a project for over a month and go back to it, I cant remember where I was pulling numbers and information from. :/

Best TV show ever.

It was so shitty and predictable.

It's a good indicator.

Edit: Dallow knows what's up.
Are you sure you're not recalling an episode of The Office?
I wish I was. I just can't believe that 90% of our support staff has absolutely no clue on how to use Microsoft Word. Before I came to work here, I didn't even know that Wordperfect even existed anymore.

So it was just slightly more than the DVD.
Plus the audio is very highly regarded in reviews and they were right.

Video quality is garbage though, save for the last couple mins.
Cameras they used were worse than DVD quality. But I didn't even notice after the first 10 minutes after I got into it.
I dunno about that Frosty, I think all those groups sell tons of albums despite getting terrible reviews.
Yeah, N*Sync, Brittany Spears, and the Spice Girls never got good reviews. I'll fully admit that sales /= quality, but I will agree with Dallow that consensus reviews generally do indicate quality. Not personal enjoyment, perhaps, but quality.

I guess it'd be worth it for the audio. I find that kind of thing very upsetting though. Like Lynch filming Inland Empire on a sub $2000 camera so it looks like garbage. 1080p camera's aren't that expensive, step your fucking game up. You are committing your artwork to ~720x400 for eternity FFS.

Wait, why the fuck was NSync, Britney, or Spice Girls even mentioned in that? Those $$$$as never even got 5/5 reviews or anything. Look at Hannah Montana, shes the hottest shit out on the market right now, but her music sucks ass and you won't see people praising her for her amazing voice or anything like that. Its all about the image.

An image for the younger crowd to follow, which is why it was so popular. You don't see girls obsessed with Nsync years ago still bumpin' it. They thought the group was hot, and obviously didn't know shit about anything, like Puerto Ricans.

No way any of that should be associated with a video game because either the video game sucks, or it doesn't. Theres no ''Well, it has so and so in the game, so its absolutely amazing.''
