Good lord! I say if you enjoy it, money well spent. I think each of us has an extensive laundry list of hobby items (for me it’s a city block of legos) we have spent a small fortune on if we audited purchases year by year like you did.

You are the poster child for physical media, something I am trying to get away from with books, music and games.

I truly hope you're very happy where you're at and don't plan on moving anytime soon. Because holy , I just wrapped up an extensive move at the end of last month, and just looking at all that gives me heart palpitations.

I'm also very impressed that you've seemed to consolidate this mostly to one room. Are you single? Or do you have a very understanding significant other?

Yeah, moving would be a pain.

I had to get the carpets upstairs stretched because they started to loosen, so had to move everything downstairs for that, and this was awhile back when it was still early on.

Took half a day to get everything downstairs, and after it was done, it looked so weird seeing all of it just next to each other, and then once they were finished had to move it all back upstairs again, lol. Disaster.

And it's two separate rooms, so that's why if you're counting walls from the pictures, it may not make sense.

And yes, single, so I still have a fair amount of time to pre-occupy myself like this.

wow only 8 years. i probably spent about the same over the years as well. decided to get into reselling as well to make my collecting pay for itself. made going out hunting more fun looking for anything i could find cheap and adding new stuff every so often. for me my yearly spending got out of control at 5k for the year. i'm spending more than that now but most of it is to resell or brought with my profits. i dread ever moving at least most of it is in bins so i can put it on a dolly and haul out a little more easily.
